Your route begins behind the Virginia Monument, where General Robert E. Lee awaited his troops after Pickett’s Charge. Follow the trail to the Spangler Farm, enjoy sweeping views of the Peach Orchard, and spot Little Round Top in the distance. Cross the Emmitsburg Road onto the Union side of the battle to see the Trostle Farm.

Along the way, you will ride on an authentic Civil War mode of transportation and gain a new appreciation for how the terrain influenced the battle. Outriders will accompany you at all times for your safety, ensuring a secure and memorable experience. Meeting Place and Check-In

• Tours depart from McMillan Woods Youth Campground, Gettysburg, PA 17325
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time
• Drive down the dirt road to the wooded campground and look for the horse trailer marked “Confederate Trails of Gettysburg.”
• Free parking is available
• Call us if you are running late or have trouble finding the meeting place

Before You Arrive

• Allow extra time for parking and check-in
• This is an outdoor activity, and you will be exposed to the day’s weather conditions
• Tours take place rain or shine
• All guests under the age of 18 must wear a helmet
