Explore the Tchefuncte River with expert local guide Capt Mike! Capt Mike has spent his life learning the river and will provide a fun experience for all. Board a 24ft long, fully covered Bentley pontoon boat, food and drink welcomed. Optional bathroom stops will be every 40mins. Tours/ Boat Days are both offered. Tours will explain the unique history of this river town, as we travel along the Tchefuncte we will detour through passage ways viewing beautiful cypress stands covered in Spanish moss, winding in and out of several bayous. Capt Mike knows where all the Wildlife such as Alligators, turtles, fish eagles, deer, river otter like to hide and will bring you to the best areas to see them.
Boat Days for those looking to cruise and not tour will have a table set up for food and drink, trash can, swim ladder large floating matt (lilly pad), oversized beer pong set, water toys, ect. and connected to play music off your phone with our onboard Bluetooth sound system and phone charging stations. 2 hour trips only have time for the Brady Island stop, if you would like more stops such as sandbar and rope swing areas please upgrade to a 3 hour trip or book a 2 and 3 hour trip back to back for my clients who want the full river tour at 5 hours. When you board Capt Mike will ask which direction you would like to see upriver or downriver. Upriver showcases stately homes, cypress swamps and bayous and will return south of I-12. Downriver will take you through the historic river town of Madisonville to view the transition of swamp to marshlands and bayous and returns from the Tchefuncte River Lighthouse/ Lake Ponchartrain Area.
