A late-afternoon road out of Marrakech sets the scene: the city’s ochre walls fall away as the High Atlas tightens around you. The minivan climbs the switchbacks of Tizi n’Tichka, and peaks pierce the horizon like geological punctuation. By evening you’re trading asphalt for sand—camels trace slow silhouettes across dunes while a desert camp arranges low tables and steaming tagine.
