Travel from Addis Ababa through the local markets into the cultural city of Gondar and up into the Simien Mountains where you'll come face-to-face with the Gelada monkeys. Then follow the road into the historic Lalibela where the Rock Hewn Churches will astound while you continue on the Omo Valley to sit with the local tribes who have inhabited these areas for thousands of years.
