While trains were used to carry passengers and freight between towns and cities across America, trolley cars carried passengers to and from work, from neighborhood to neighborhood, and were a crucial part of many American’s lives throughout the industrial age. The East Broad Top Railroad is proud to partner with the Rockhill Trolley Museum to offer visitors a unique opportunity to relive that transportation story, combing a scenic steam-powered train ride and an electric trolley ride into one convenient itinerary.
You’ll take a leisurely one-hour train ride through the Pennsylvania countryside pulled by an authentic 1916 steam locomotive. Back in Rockhill Furnace, the train makes a special stop at the Rockhill Trolley Museum for museum ticket holders to disembark and walk only a few short steps to their waiting trolley car, just as it would have happened in many major cities across the nation.
