You step off the road into red dust and the slow rhythm of village life: children call your name, charcoal smoke curls from cooking fires, and a distant goat bells the edges of farmland. Over ten days you move between Arusha’s high plains, the baobab-scattered savanna of Tarangire, and the terraced slopes around Mount Hanang, becoming a temporary member of a host family while learning the cadence of daily chores.

No technical climbing skills are required, but you should have moderate fitness for an 8–10 hour day with steep, rocky sections.
