Adventure tips

Wear supportive, closed shoesChoose shoes with a firm sole and slight heel—or bring flamenco shoes—to protect your feet and improve sound during heel work.

Arrive warmed upSpend 5–10 minutes loosening ankles and hips; a brief warm-up prevents strain and makes transitions smoother.

Hydrate and plan a short breakOne hour moves quickly; bring a small water bottle and rest briefly if you feel lightheaded during intense footwork.

Record only if permittedAsk the instructor before recording; some teachers prefer focused attention and photos are often fine after class.

Recommended gear

Closed, flat shoes or flamenco shoes: Provide support and let you execute heel and toe techniques with control.
Breathable, flexible clothing: Allows full range of motion for arms, hips and legs during turns and footwork.
Small water bottle: Keeps you hydrated during vigorous sequences, especially in warm months.
Hair tie or headband: Keeps hair out of your face during rapid arm movements and turns.
