1.5hr Hour Viking Ship Experience in Bergen Harbor & Fjord

Experience fjords and the Bergen waterfront in an exceptionally Norwegian way aboard a square sail Viking-style ship! Viking Voyages operates numerous trips per day out of Bryggen in Bergen’s inner harbor, Trips are 1.5 hours and will take participants along Bergen’s iconic waterfront and spectacular fjord. Sailing is a priority and our route will be dictated by wind conditions. Regardless of weather, guests are guaranteed an authentically ancient sailing experience. Aboard the ship, guests can admire the elegant ship-building techniques developed by the Vikings and participate in a centuries old style of sailing using a square shaped sail.

The tour will include fascinating insights into the Viking age, Bergen history, and Norwegian coast culture. Fishing equipment is available on board and mackerel are abundant in the summer. Some refreshments are provided but feel free to bring your own food and drink including beer or wine.

What to bring

Please arrive with adequate clothing for sailing and rainy weather. There is very limited shelter on the ship. Moderate mobility and physical ability is required for embarking and moving about the vessel. We look forward to sharing this unique experience with you!
