Where the French Broad River gathers its headwaters in Rosman, a small-group clinic teaches you to read water like a language and make every drift count. Advanced Angler Tactics turns solid casters into adaptive fly fishers ready for any hatch, flow, or mood swing the river throws at them.
Slip into the upper French Broad and let a seasoned guide lead you through private, lightly pressured water where trout still rule the seams. This half-day wade blends skill-building with serenity—and ends with a local pint at the taproom just up the road.
Set on private water near the headwaters of the French Broad, Fork’s Foundation Class turns curious kids into capable beginner anglers in a single, focused day. Clear instruction meets real river time—casting, rigging, entomology, and ethics—so young anglers leave ready to fish with purpose.
Trade decision fatigue for a tailored day on trail. Headwaters Outfitters’ Guided Hiking Trips match you with a local expert who picks the right waterfall, ridge, or forest loop—so you can focus on moving, learning, and soaking up the Blue Ridge.
Float the ancient French Broad River with expert guides and chase smallmouth bass that fight far above their weight class. This full-day drift blends Blue Ridge scenery, living history, and dialed-in fishing tactics for an accessible, unforgettable day on moving water.
