Bayview Golf Course

Kaneohe, Hawaii, USAWindward Oʻahu

Bayview Golf Course offers a refreshing par-60 layout focused on short game precision amid striking Kaneohe Bay vistas. This public 18-hole par-3 dominant course delivers a charming, approachable round suited to golfers of all levels seeking a scenic and efficient Hawaiian experience.

Course Overview

Located along Kaneohe Bay Drive in Hawai'i, Bayview Golf Course offers a distinctive par-60 layout that welcomes golfers seeking a brisk yet engaging round. This public, 18-hole course primarily features par-3 holes, with a handful of par-4s scattered throughout, creating a compact but varied test that suits players of all skill levels. The design encourages an emphasis on precision and short game finesse rather than power, making it an excellent option for beginners looking to build confidence or for more seasoned players wanting to sharpen their approach shots.

Bayview’s setting takes full advantage of its Windward Oʻahu location, presenting players with sweeping views of Kaneohe Bay and the surrounding island landscape, especially along the back nine. The gentle trade winds often make club selection and shot shape critical components of navigating the course, subtly challenging one’s tempo and strategy without overwhelming difficulty.

The course is recognized for its approachable layout and pace of play, often taking under two hours to complete a round, which appeals to golfers seeking a quick outing without sacrificing quality. While the greens and fairways reflect the tropical environment, maintenance varies, so players should expect a playing surface that feels natural and authentic to its island context rather than pristine tournament conditions.

Amenities at Bayview include a driving range facility and a compact pro shop located in an unassuming lower-level area, which can be surprisingly challenging to find at first visit. Rental clubs and carts are available, though the carts focus more on functionality than luxury. Walking is allowed and often recommended; given the course’s modest size and open terrain, sturdy shoes are advisable to handle some uneven ground and the occasional gust.

Bayview’s community atmosphere and value-oriented approach make it a favored spot for local golfers and visitors alike. It serves as a vibrant gateway to Hawaiian golf culture with a uniquely relaxed pace. Those seeking a scenic course with an emphasis on the short game and a break from more demanding layouts will find Bayview a rewarding stop on their island itinerary.

Course Highlights

Bayview’s layout features predominantly par-3 holes framed by open, airy fairways and refreshing coastal breezes. The back nine particularly showcases striking views of Kaneohe Bay that reward patient players. Its focus on the short game, combined with a casual, welcoming environment, makes it a favorite for developing golfers and those seeking an alternative to traditional full-length courses. The compact design encourages quick rounds without sacrificing variety, while the manageable yardage keeps the experience accessible.

Bayview Night Market – A Local Night of Food, Fun & Family in Kāneʻohe Our visit to the Bayview Night Market at Bayview Golf Park in Kāneʻohe was a night to remember! It was a planned family outing, but like any good adventure, it came with a little twist—don’t miss the Kāneʻohe exit off H3 like I did! Once you’re off the highway, it’s an easy drive into one of the most fun-filled markets on the Windward side. We arrived just before 4:00 PM, as vendors were setting up. The air was full of promise—food tents, trucks, live music, and the hum of mini golf balls already bouncing across the greens. This place has it all: 18-hole miniature golf, a zip line, and wide-open grassy space to kick back and relax. While my kids later enjoyed every minute of their mini golf round (which takes a good while to complete), we started our foodie journey by placing an order at Waialua BBQ. For just $20, we got 3 big skewers of our choice (we went with pork, teriyaki beef, and shrimp), two scoops of rice, and a basic side salad. The portion was perfect to share between me and the kids, and they even included utensils and napkins, which made eating on the go easy. We picked up three Cokes for about $7 from the outside bar to complete the meal. While that was grilling, we grabbed two giant hot dogs from Krazy Dogs—a Chicago Dog and an L.A. Street Dog, each for $13. These were huge, all-beef, and packed with toppings. They even gave us forks, and once you take a bite, you’ll know why—they’re deliciously messy in the best way. While my daughters continued playing golf, I stopped by Sugar Mami, a vendor serving fresh sugarcane drinks with tons of flavors. I went with the OG Sugarcane, served in a large cup with a big open straw. You can even get it in a reusable jar. It cost me $15, which was a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it for a refreshing taste of Hawaii. Between the variety of local food, family fun, and laid-back community vibe, this night market is the perfect spot to kick off your weekend (or make any evening feel like one). Come hungry, bring the family, play some mini golf, and sip on local flavors—because in Hawaiʻi, every day is Friday. Mahalo, Bayview Night Market! We’ll be back.

A great course that is quite the bargain. Par 60 with lots of par 3s. Quick fun rounds. The back 9 are very fun and well designed. The course is in good shape. Better than some full priced courses around the island. The views on the back 9 are stunning. The staff is friendly. The carts are barebones but you don’t need much else. A fun little course that is a great value!

There are no par 5s, and the first half is mostly par 3s and is cute. The second half is also made up of par 3s and par 4s, and the second half scenery is nice. The day I went was cloudy, so I couldn't enjoy the scenery properly, but it's cheap and everyone is friendly, so I want to go again.

I recently visited Bay View Golf Course, and I must say, my experience was rather disappointing. Upon arrival, our Uber driver dropped us off under the awning, only to find the building closed. The doors were locked, and the place looked completely empty—no shelves, no counters, just an empty floor. Thinking we could check out the driving range, we made our way over, but that was also closed. After some confusion, we called the pro shop and learned it was located downstairs. Unfortunately, there was no signage to guide us, which added to the frustration. Once we finally located the check-in window, we rented some clubs that felt overpriced for their quality. The golf cart we were given was wobbly, and one of the tires was bald, making for an uncomfortable ride. As we ventured onto the course, I noticed that the greens were in poor condition, with bare patches and a general lack of maintenance. While there are some nice features to the course itself—mostly short par threes with a few par fours—it felt like it had potential that was never realized. There were also areas where trash had accumulated, which was quite off-putting. Considering the price we paid, I left feeling unsatisfied. You could easily find a better-maintained course with a much nicer experience for just a few dollars more. I wouldn’t recommend Bay View Golf Course unless significant improvements are made.

Absolutely gorgeous course! We loved the par 3s at the start that felt a bit like a warm up. The views were spectacular. For the price there really isn’t anything to complain about!
