Course Overview

Linda Vista Public Golf Course offers an inviting 9-hole layout set along the banks of Miller Creek in Missoula, Montana. This compact yet carefully maintained course blends natural water features and mature trees to create both beauty and challenge for players of varying skill levels. Its accessible design makes it ideal for newcomers to golf as well as those seeking a relaxed, scenic round close to the city.

The course’s terrain gently unfolds with water hazards that demand thoughtful shot placement and greens that reward precision. The presence of several ponds and a flowing creek introduces a quiet, wildlife-rich atmosphere that draws the eye and enhances focus. Blue herons and turtles are frequent companions, adding a peaceful rhythm to the game. Walkers will find the relatively short distances between holes perfect for an easy, smooth pace, and the well-maintained pathways complement the course's approachable scale.

Linda Vista prioritizes player experience with consistent green conditions throughout the season. Though the course was impacted by recent windstorms that brought down numerous trees, ongoing restoration has opened up vistas along the creek, allowing sunlight to filter across the fairways and increase exposure to the surrounding Montana landscape. The current layout rewards strategic thinking rather than overwhelming power, making every round a thoughtful pursuit of accuracy and distance control.

Beyond the course, the on-site café stands out as a welcoming spot for players to refresh with hearty fare and cold drinks. The pro shop holds an impressive selection of golf essentials and is staffed by knowledgeable team members who foster a friendly and educational environment.

Absolutely beautiful 9 hole golf course! Our daughters have the best time here! Our youngest loves nothing more than seeing all the wildlife and our oldest is really getting into the game! She’s currently taking lessons from the owner and he does a wonderful job! He’s very passionate about making sure the public is enjoying the game of golf! They have one of the friendliest most hard working greens crew staff I’ve ever seen at a golf course! Food is delicious and the cafe service is always amazing! We can’t recommend Linda Vista enough! Thanks to everyone there and keep up the good work!

For a teeny little golf course these folks have it all. A great café, fast greens, and an amazing pro ship staff. They made me feel welcome and I had a lot of fun playing there. It's short but there's lots of danger off the tee. Jon does a great job keeping the grass immaculate. Keep it up guys! Also I work there. Come play.

Can’t say I golf but I do share a fence with them. After the big storm we had last year they had a ton of trees that went down. They took care of the ones on the course pretty fast of course however it took a long time for them to clear the huge grove of cotton woods that fell into our yard and they did a sloppy job. It looks horrible, not to mention the lack of trees means there isn’t anything stopping the golf ball’s from absolutely destroying our siding. Gonna have to get the kids helmets to play in the yard….. Then, instead of professionally taking all this to one of the dump sites like most of Missoula did because they were supposed to, they just made huge piles. One of which is about 10 feet away from our shared fence. Today they burned it. Thanks for the ash covering everything, for not being able to open my windows or go outside. Thanks for the insanely strong smoke, the migraines, the cough my entire household is experiencing. If the huge pile you burned a couple week ago much further away is any indication this will last for several days. Not to mention they did a horrible job cleaning up the trees, a ton are still there and now we’ve got a partially burned hill of trees to boot. It looks hideous but I guess they are only concerned about what their view looks like. So from all of us that share your fence line just off the main road, thanks. Great job. Stay classy. 👎🏻

There isn't a better place to get 9 holes in and a delicious meal in Montana! Great staff all around that will take the time to teach you a thing or two and you can tell that they just love the game. The course itself is well cared for... although I'm a little biased because my son was part of the grounds crew for a few years 😂 The food in the cafe is amazing and they always have good cold beer on tap. Don't forget to say hello to the blue herons, turtles, and all of the other wildlife that you can spot during your time on the course!

This is a fabulous golf course! Best 9 hole in the Missoula Valley hands down! The greens are always in great shape and the course has several beautiful ponds full of wildlife and long standing trees. Its a beautiful course to play anytime of year. We love to walk while playing and this is the perfect course to walk 18 holes! Sadly were hit HARD by the wind storms last year, but they have not only cleaned that up, they also opened up the holes along the river for great views! The pro shop is always stocked with beer and snacks and the on-site café is a great option before or after playing. The owner and his staff are always happy to see you and offer a comfortable place for anyone if you're new to golf or have been playing for years. We look forward to many more rounds at our favorite "home" course.

Just leaving this 5 star review in response to Beth Cushman’s ridiculous 1 star review having absolutely nothing to do with this course or facility. Sorry you have to deal with people like Beth Cushman!
