River Bend Links Golf Course Review
River Bend Links presents a gently rolling 18-hole links-style layout set in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi. Its Bermuda greens and forgiving bunkers provide a balance of challenge and playability, making it an accessible yet engaging destination for a wide range of golfers.
Course Overview
River Bend Links in Tunica Resorts, Mississippi, offers an 18-hole public layout that embraces the classic links-style experience, crafted to challenge and reward golfers of different skill levels. The course stretches to approximately 6,700 yards with a par of 72, featuring Bermuda grass fairways and some of the best-maintained Bermuda greens found in the region. River Bend Links' design emphasizes natural contours and open sightlines, where gentle rolling terrain guides you from one hole to the next, often framed by native grasses and subtle water hazards that demand thoughtful shot placement.
This course unfolds along a tranquil setting defined by broad vistas rather than towering trees. The coastal-inspired architecture creates breathing room for players to test everything from tee shots to deft short-game finesse. Among its layout traits, bunkers are often deemed “ground under repair” areas, making it forgiving while still requiring strategic navigation. The wide fairways initially welcome higher handicappers, but the firm greens, variable pin positions, and lingering winds quickly invite focused attention from low-handicap golfers seeking a tactical challenge.
River Bend Links operates with a welcoming atmosphere, reflected in its notably affordable fees particularly for seniors, including carts rented at reasonable rates, enhancing accessibility. The course prefers that players walk, as the mostly level terrain and soft fairways allow an enjoyable, low-impact round; appropriate footwear is recommended for navigating Bermuda underfoot, especially during warmer months.
Visitors can expect a straightforward check-in process and basic clubhouse amenities. While the course delivers solid playability and conditioning, recent reports suggest customer service around the clubhouse may vary, an important factor when planning your visit. Nevertheless, those focused on the golf itself will find smooth Bermuda greens and a balanced design creating memorable shot-making opportunities.
River Bend Links stands out as an inviting option for golfers drawn to a links-inspired style on the Mississippi landscape, offering a blend of approachability and subtle strategic depth. Whether you’re chasing a low score or simply seeking a quality round without extravagant pricing, this course delivers a down-to-earth, enjoyable outing in the heart of Tunica’s golf scene.

Very nice golf course. They tell you to play the bunkers as 'ground under repair' which makes for an easier time. The course itself is in amazing shape and the greens were very nice. I couldn't believe the senior rate of $39 for 18 holes and a cart. I had the best back 9 in several years. Shot a four over par 40.

Very nice course! Bunkers are over grown, but the course and greens are well manicured! And the gentleman that signed us in was extremely courteous! We definitely enjoyed playing and will be back!!

The clubhouse gal is ridiculous&rude. We payed for 2 players (me&fiance) I am learning. So we let several, probably 5 or more singles/teams play rounds thru. We made it to the 17th hole and at around 6pm. I had to use the bathroom.. thats when she got rude with me and I will not tolerate ugly business. We got there at 3pm. She griped about "busting down 6 packs" when we got 3 each of 2 different beers. When I went inside to use the ladies room, she asked "is he almost done?" I said, "we are almost done, I'm learning..if it weren't for me, he would've been done long ago" and she went on basically saying we needed to leave because we've played 9 holes for too long. So I went to approach her again bc at this point, I don't even feel welcome on the course... I told her she was rude and she did nothing but try to defend herself. Entirely not how to conduct business etiquette. 10/10 do not recommend. Go play at Tunica Nationals. The people are friendly&the course is so much better kept. And you forsure will not be carried away by bugs. I can go on really but that just did it for me. I'd drive an hour away to play til dark for better company than hers.

My husband went to play a round by himself last Thursday morning. 3/27/25. The course was NOT busy at all. The lady in the clubhouse was RUDE from the get go! She was only person that he(we) encountered on our whole trip there! She needs some instruction in customer service! He'll definitely play Tunica National next time!

all the sand bunkers are over grown and green fulled. They do not spray for insects at all. Bugs will carry you away on the cow trail.
