Course Overview
Eagle Hills Golf Course presents an 18-hole challenge set amidst the rolling hills of Eagle, Idaho, offering a balance of strategic play and scenic variety. This public course is well-known locally for its mature landscaping and a layout that requires thoughtful shot-making. The terrain maintains gentle elevation changes, creating subtle tests in club selection without overwhelming the player. Golfers encounter a mix of narrow fairways and doglegs, inviting precision off the tee while rewarding smart course management.
Water hazards are present but less dominant than in years past, following the removal of several ponds that once added a wetland dimension to the course. Despite this change, the layout retains visual interest with some water features strategically placed to influence play. Trees line many holes, providing shade and a sense of enclosure through much of the round. The greens vary in size and shape, with some offering slick, true surfaces, while others challenge with subtle undulations and inconsistent speed. This blend ensures both excitement and complexity, especially for those attentive to green reading and pace control.
The clubhouse complements the experience with a casual yet comfortable atmosphere, featuring a well-regarded restaurant and bar where players can unwind post-round. Customer service receives positive recognition, contributing to a welcoming environment for both solo players and groups. While the course lacks a driving range, the presence of attentive marshals and the willing pairing of players often enhances the social aspect of a round.
Eagle Hills Golf Course suits mid- to low-handicap players seeking a layout that rewards thoughtful strategy without demanding extreme power or length. Walking is feasible, though the terrain and variety of holes suggest golf carts are helpful for comfort and pace.
Those planning a visit should bring a reliable tee time as the course draws a steady local crowd, especially on weekends. The mix of mature trees, varied hole design, and the friendly, relaxed vibe make Eagle Hills a solid choice for those exploring golf in the Eagle-Boise region. Enjoyed this golf course wish they had a driving range to warm up appropriately considering houses are everywhere to be hit. Cart girls/marshals are consistently roaming made the course enjoyable. As a solo, paired up with a couple high schoolers that were well mannered leaving after 9 running into a second group of 3 late twenties early thirties, had a great time joining up with them to finish out 18. Very well kept course would recommend a play if you’re in Boise.

Great golf course up in the hills of Eagle. Be prepared for some challenging holes. Lots of homes and amazing mature landscaping. Trees are awesome and provide lots of shade throughout the course. One of my favorites to golf when in town!

Probably one of the biggest fall offs for a golf course ever. About 5ish years ago they used to have incredible ponds and great swampy areas that really made the course fun. Now all those are drained and it’s lifeless. The carts are a plus, except if you go anywhere close to a green or anything close to “off course” to look for a missing ball, you have to reverse your cart out of it. Customer service was awesome tho in the clubhouse!

Great course with nice scenery and variety. Some holes have water, some are doglegs, some are relatively narrow, so the course doesn't feel boring. The clubhouse and restaurant are really nice. The greens are a bit inconsistent though, a couple were in fantastic shape but some were very uneven. Almost as though they've worked on some for the season but not gotten to all of them yet. Overall a great course, price is more or less average compared to other full length, reasonably nice courses in the Treasure Valley.
