Reid Park Golf Course
Reid Park Golf Course delivers two 18-hole public layouts distinguished by gentle elevation and parkland character. Offering accessible play for all levels, its South and North courses provide a versatile golf experience with thoughtful design and a welcoming atmosphere.
Course Overview
Reid Park Golf Course offers an expansive setting for golfers seeking variety and challenge across two full 18-hole layouts. Located in Springfield, Ohio, this public facility presents both a North and South course, each with its distinct personality shaped by subtle elevation changes and thoughtfully designed fairways. The courses combine elements of traditional parkland styling with gently rolling terrain, creating a playground that tests shot-making without veering into punishing territory.
The South Course, often praised for its layout, features well-manicured fairways that flow naturally alongside mature trees, providing strategic options off the tee. Its greens, while holding smooth contours, demand precision to navigate subtle breaks. Meanwhile, the North Course offers a contrasting experience with a few more undulations and elevated tee boxes that reward controlled long shots. Both courses measure around 6,500 yards from the back tees with pars totaling 72, suitable for a broad range of abilities from ambitious beginners to lower handicaps.
Beyond course design, Reid Park embraces a friendly, community-oriented atmosphere. Players regularly commend the approachable staff and the welcoming environment that encourages camaraderie on the greens. Facilities accommodate walking, with pathways that wind through varied terrain; players interested in a more immersive experience should come prepared with supportive footwear to manage slight hills and uneven ground.
While some seasonal fluctuations in course conditioning have been noted, especially following adverse weather, maintenance efforts focus on preserving playable conditions throughout the year. Amenities include a clubhouse serving as a comfortable hub for post-round discussions, refreshments, and equipment needs.
Visitors who appreciate a no-frills golfing destination will find Reid Park’s twin courses offer reliable diversity. Whether meeting friends for a casual round or seeking to sharpen competitive skills, the course stands as a welcoming venue within Ohio’s golfing landscape, valued for its accessibility and the straightforward enjoyment it delivers.
Course Highlights
The dual 18-hole layout offers contrasting yet complementary course experiences with soft elevation shifts and tree-lined fairways. The South course is favored for its smooth greens and strategic challenge, while the North provides a slightly more varied terrain. The clubhouse serves as a central gathering spot for golfers and visiting groups.

I’ve been going to Reid golf course for about 4 years. I like the fact that they have 36 holes. The South course is one of my favorites to play on. My friends like to meet every week at Reid. The staff is great! Shout out to Curt, Pat and Marty!

A lovely course with nice elevation changes, fairways and greens were in nice condition....and fairly green considering it is 10/15/22. It was a great day with great people enjoying a great game on a great course😉!! (I'm just a rider & hobbyist photographer)

Been 20 years since moving from vandalia but north course was awesome despite the occasional storm damage. Super friendly staff with yummy hotdogs. Great value for 18 holes... planning on return to south course

Course is in horrible condition. Don’t waste your money. Both 18 hole courses have been let go with little to no maintenance. Every single green is diseased and dying. Fairways are burnt out in a lot of places. All bunkers are a mixture of gravel, large rocks, and a little sand. Not a single level tee box to be found on all 36 holes. What used to be a nice course is now a completely different animal.

This was once a golfing gem of Southwest Ohio. The new Management has run an underfunded Operation that cannot keep up maintenance on the course. As a result, playing conditions are horrible. They are on a downward spiral. it's such a shame. I used to love playing here.
