Springfield, Ohio, USASouthwest Ohio

Reid Park Golf Course presents two accessible 18-hole layouts in Springfield, Ohio. This public golf facility blends rolling parkland terrain with approachable design, offering a practical and engaging test for players across all skill levels.

Course Overview

Reid Park Golf Course in Springfield, Ohio, offers a distinctive experience with its two 18-hole layouts, the North and South courses, providing a full 36-hole golfing destination within a public facility. Both courses stretch across gently rolling terrain that balances subtle elevation changes with accessible play, making Reid Park a welcoming venue for golfers ranging from beginners to those seeking a solid challenge.

Set against a landscape of mature trees and open fairways, Reid Park’s South course is often praised for its flow and more dramatic shaping, while the North course presents a variety of hole designs that test strategic shot placement. Fairways generally provide ample room off the tee, and the greens, while currently in varying condition, have contours that encourage thoughtful putting and delicate touch.

The courses are primarily parkland-style, lending a traditional Midwest feel with tree-lined holes and a mix of sun-exposed and shaded sections. This combination of terrain and routing supports an enjoyable round even on busy days, with different tee boxes that help tailor yardage and difficulty to all skill levels.

Amenities include a well-stocked pro shop and a friendly staff known for their hospitality, enhancing the overall golf outing. Casual dining options, including a clubhouse menu with classic concession fare, add comfort after play. The layout’s walkability is feasible for those prepared with comfortable shoes, though some rolling hills add to the physical side of the game.

While recent reviews indicate maintenance challenges that affect course conditions, many local players appreciate the affordable access to two 18-hole courses and the opportunity to enjoy a broad test of golf. Reid Park remains a community staple for Springfield golfers and visitors seeking an accessible, full-length public golf experience in southwest Ohio.

Planning a trip to Reid Park means preparing for a straightforward, honest round where shot management and course knowledge reward repeat visits. Whether playing a quick nine or the full 36, this facility offers a practical setting where golfers can sharpen skills and enjoy the rhythm of the game.

Been 20 years since moving from vandalia but north course was awesome despite the occasional storm damage. Super friendly staff with yummy hotdogs. Great value for 18 holes... planning on return to south course

This was once a golfing gem of Southwest Ohio. The new Management has run an underfunded Operation that cannot keep up maintenance on the course. As a result, playing conditions are horrible. They are on a downward spiral. it's such a shame. I used to love playing here.

I’ve been going to Reid golf course for about 4 years. I like the fact that they have 36 holes. The South course is one of my favorites to play on. My friends like to meet every week at Reid. The staff is great! Shout out to Curt, Pat and Marty!

A lovely course with nice elevation changes, fairways and greens were in nice condition....and fairly green considering it is 10/15/22. It was a great day with great people enjoying a great game on a great course😉!! (I'm just a rider & hobbyist photographer)

Course is in horrible condition. Don’t waste your money. Both 18 hole courses have been let go with little to no maintenance. Every single green is diseased and dying. Fairways are burnt out in a lot of places. All bunkers are a mixture of gravel, large rocks, and a little sand. Not a single level tee box to be found on all 36 holes. What used to be a nice course is now a completely different animal.
