Course Overview

Bridger Creek Golf Course in Bozeman, Montana, stands as a compelling 18-hole public layout that offers a dynamic blend of thoughtful design and natural Montana scenery. This course strikes a balance between challenge and approachability, weaving its fairways through gentle rolling terrain and alongside a lively creek that shapes some of the earliest holes. Players of varying skill levels will find multiple tee options that cater both to those seeking a competitive test and to players aiming for a relaxed day on the links.

The course’s routing encourages strategic shot-making without overwhelming less experienced golfers, making it a suitable choice for families and enthusiasts looking to sharpen their game in a welcoming environment. The front nine flows with subtle elevation changes and compelling water features that demand respect but rarely intimidate. The back nine introduces more intricate decision points, particularly as the creek meanders through or borders several holes, adding a layer of risk and reward that can keep players engaged through 18.

Amenities include a modest clubhouse where players can gather before or after their round, and rental clubs are available for those traveling light, though the selection can be varied. While carts do not feature GPS systems, thoughtful pacing and walking-friendly paths help maintain an enjoyable rhythm during play.

Those visiting should prepare for Montana’s changeable weather by dressing in layers and bringing appropriate footwear, as walking the course can reveal the landscape’s subtle textures and gentle contours. Early mornings provide a tranquil experience with crisp air, while afternoon tee times offer the chance to play amid longer shadows and softer light.

Whether arriving for a casual outing or an ambitious round, Bridger Creek Golf Course provides a refreshing Montana golf experience framed by natural beauty and a layout that challenges without alienation.

Course Highlights

Bridger Creek features a creek that threads through several holes, shaping a design that rewards accurate shot placement. The course was great! The bathrooms however were disgusting. If you like to use a restroom where it smells like 3 week old urine, then this is the bathroom for you. The staff was not very pleasant either for people coming from out of state. My wife and I came from Iowa for vacation and found this course to play. I brought my own clubs and my wife used one of their rental sets, or as I would call it, a hodge podge of lost and found clubs. Each club was a different brand, had different sizes of grips (one was so slick I don't know how someone could keep ahold of it). All this for a round that was over $85/person. I would expect a little nicer set of rental clubs for that price. No GPS on the carts either. This is 2025, add GPS.

Came from Pittsburgh and walked 9 early in the morning here. A wonderful experience all around. This is an awesome layout, excellent condition, and great price.

Dropped by on my golf tour. They found a way to plug me in. Wish I had time to play all 18. Also wish they had a senior rate but maybe they'd loose too much cash flow?

This place has a little bit of everything for all skill levels. Whether it's the decision-making required on the latter part of the back 9, to the esthetically pleasing first few holes that meander along the creek, you'll no doubt enjoy this track. Not to mention, you can tell the grounds crew takes great pride in their work, as the place is always in great shape! Won't find a better public course around Bozeman.

One of the best courses (and certainly the prettiest!) in the valley. They do great kids camps in the summer and the staff is awesome. You can tell everyone cares and takes care of the place really well. And a really fun course to play!
