Course Overview

TimberStone Golf Course presents an engaging 18-hole challenge set against the rugged foothills of Caldwell, Idaho. This public course balances a thoughtful layout with natural terrain, creating an experience that appeals to golfers of varying abilities without sacrificing competitive integrity. From the first tee, players encounter undulating fairways framed by native grasses and subtle elevation changes that shape shot strategy and encourage creative play.

The course layout advances through a mixture of forested areas and open vistas, offering a variety of hole designs that range from straightforward to subtly complex. Greens at TimberStone are known for their smooth surfaces and consistent roll, rewarding precise approach shots and thoughtful putting. The fairways, maintained in excellent condition year-round, provide ample landing zones but are punctuated with sand bunkers that enforce positional golf around the greens.

Being a public facility, TimberStone offers accessible play without compromising standards. The course is approachable for mid- and high-handicap golfers due to its generous tee options, yet it retains enough challenge to satisfy lower handicaps seeking to test their ball striking and course management skills. Fun course to play. Great condition. Greens were smooth and fast, fairways were pure. Staff was nice, lunch was good, price is right. What’s not to like. Would play anytime I’m in the area.

Awesome course! I played this course over the weekend, while visiting some family. The greens are pure and roll quick. The fairways are in pristine conditions, and the tee boxes are amazing! The cart is quick and provides an in-cart GPS, which is awesome. Staff is friendly, food is decent from the food truck, but the snack shop looked well stocked. The range when I went, was on grass, which is amazing! The only gripe I have is with the price of the course. Why is golf so expensive? Other than that, lovely course, highly recommend!

Friendly staff and clean carts. Nice range and putting greens. Golf course is in great shape and greens are smooth and roll true. They have a food trailer with good selection and good food.

While the golf course is in great condition, the food truck made the worst BLT I have ever seen. The bacon was uneatable and should have never left the truck.

The two locals I played with asked me to give TimberTone a bad review in order to keep people from finding out about it. Too late. Fun golf course with a lot of interesting holes. Pace of play was perfect and conditions were rock solid.
