Course Overview

Kings Crossing Golf Club in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, offers a compact and inviting nine-hole layout that caters to golfers seeking a relaxed, approachable round. The course’s design embraces a traditional parkland style, weaving through open fairways bordered by mature trees that frame each hole without overwhelming the player. This modest track invites golfers of varying abilities to engage in a quick round or use it as a practical venue to sharpen short game skills.

While Kings Crossing is not a sprawling championship destination, its straightforward design allows for focused practice and easy navigation. The greens, reported to be in surprisingly good condition, provide a subtle test in speed and consistency, encouraging thoughtful putting rather than aggressive scoring. The course’s condition has seen variability, with some players noting areas like tees and fairways could benefit from increased maintenance, yet the presence of a well-appointed bar offers a social retreat after play, reinforcing the club’s community atmosphere.

The absence of a driving range or dedicated warm-up nets means players are encouraged to prepare before arrival, enhancing the tempo of play and minimizing downtime. Friendly staff create a welcoming environment, further emphasizing the club’s role as a laid-back spot more than a traditional tournament venue. Although the facility does not accept tee time bookings due to its informal structure, visitors are advised to confirm availability, especially on weekends when tournaments occasionally take place.

Walking the course is straightforward with gentle terrain, making it accessible for players who prefer to experience golf on foot. Good walking shoes are recommended to navigate uneven patches typical of smaller, community-focused courses. Located just a short drive from central Rhode Island towns, Kings Crossing provides a convenient stop for local golfers and visitors looking for a cost-effective membership with casual play.

In essence, Kings Crossing Golf Club is a venue that values approachability and community over competitive rigor. It's ideal for golfers seeking a no-frills environment to enjoy the basic joys of golf while engaging with friendly faces and a relaxed pace.

Friendly staff and well kept grounds. Has a nice little putting green, but wish they had a driving range or even a net to warm up on.

Would have loved to play except they forgot to tell me there was a tournament on a Saturday before we drove up from New Jersey. How does a place with no tee times have a tournament on a Saturday???

nice quiet laid back 9 hole spot, great for a quick swing or practice round. course was a bit rough but the greens were suprisingly in great shape. nothing special but exactly what im looking for sometimes.

If I complimented any part of this course, I'd be lying. Tees, fairways, bunkers, greens, they're all in poor condition. To finish with a positive, they have a bar. I do not recommend the golf course.
