Course Overview
Desert Willow Golf Course presents a distinctive desert-style 18-hole layout in the vibrant city of Henderson, Nevada. This public course offers a blend of approachable design and subtle challenges against the striking backdrop of the Mojave Desert’s arid landscape. Featuring a variety of par 3s and par 4s, Desert Willow caters to players seeking an enjoyable round without sacrificing the chance to test their shot-making skills.
The terrain is characterized by sandy waste areas, natural desert flora, and well-placed bunkers that require golfers to think carefully about strategy with every swing. Greens are moderately contoured, rewarding precision and touch rather than raw power. The course is best suited for mid- to high-handicap players, yet it remains engaging for more experienced golfers who appreciate a course that demands tactical play and patience.
Located just minutes from the heart of Henderson, the course's setting enhances its appeal with wide-open skies and distant mountain views that bring calm to the game even under the Nevada sun. Walking the course is an option for those who want to absorb the surroundings at a slower pace; the ground is firm but generally smooth, and sturdy golf shoes with solid support are recommended.
While the pace of play may occasionally slow, the course’s overall layout allows for a satisfying flow that encourages steady rhythm and thoughtful shot selection. Whether visiting for a quick nine or a full 18, Desert Willow Golf Course provides an inviting desert golf experience that balances laid-back enjoyment with opportunities to refine your game.

Social interactions are everything, the grumpy old geezer in the shop was hostile for no reason but everyone else was nice if anything dude should retire, some people would slow the pace but hey it's golf if you're annoyed by playing slow then don't play golf? Not a bad layout for what it is and nice location.

The course is beautiful, and the golf is fun, but the reason I'm giving 1 star is because the front desk guy was so rude. I called and asked him to transfer me over to the restaurant. He did but his tone was very rude, abrupt, annoyed, and impolite. The restaurant didn't answer so I called the main phone number again and the same guy answered. He got really snippy and bitchy. I don’t understand why. I wasn't rude, unpleasant, or overwhelming. I just simply wanted help in contacting the golf course restaurant. Hopefully he was just having an off day and he'll be more kind to the clients/guests in the future. Usually you experience unkind overly douchy Karen's as clients not as service workers.

This course is fun! Mostly par 3s with some par 4s, first time coming. Only bad thing our group encounter was a slow pace of play. The group in front of us were only 2 and were holding us and the rest of the people behind us up. Other than that, the course was great and so was the staff.

Love this course! In the heart of Henderson Nevada, this cute 18 hole course is nestled between Sun City Anthem and the Greater Green Valley area. Even with temperatures rising above 100, this golf course provides accommodations to keep you cool as you hit the back 9.

Absolutely awful place and layout. There's a church and library you have to walk through just to get to someone who can talk to you about golf. If you're new to the area, stay away. This is NOT a place to go golfing or the range which was closed early. 0/5
