Boulder City Golf Course

Boulder City, Nevada, USASouthern Nevada

Boulder City Golf Course offers a welcoming desert golf experience just outside Las Vegas, combining approachable parkland-style holes with classic desert features. Its well-maintained greens and shade-filled fairways make it ideal for golfers seeking a challenging yet forgiving layout in Southern Nevada.

Course Overview

Located just a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip, Boulder City Golf Course offers players a refreshing golf experience amid the rugged beauty of southern Nevada. This 18-hole public course presents a harmonious blend of desert landscape and classic parkland design, creating a layout that is both inviting and engaging for golfers of varying skill levels.

The course stretches over approximately 6,700 yards with a par 72 layout that challenges without overwhelming. Fairways snake through mature trees providing welcome shade under the region’s intense sun while natural desert brush borders many holes, requiring accuracy and strategy as much as power. The greens are well maintained and receive consistent praise for their smooth, true surfaces, offering a satisfying putting experience.

Boulder City Golf Course strikes a balance between accessibility and challenge. Newer golfers will find generous landing areas and forgiving rough that keep confidence intact, while more experienced players are tested by strategically placed bunkers and slopes that demand thoughtful club selection and shot placement. The desert winds occasionally influence play, adding subtle variability that keeps rounds interesting throughout the year.

The golf facility is well-appointed, featuring a driving range alongside dedicated chipping and putting practice areas. The clubhouse offers a casual restaurant and bar where players can unwind with refreshments and light fare after their round. Carts are equipped with modern digital GPS systems and even coolers, making it easier to stay comfortable in the Nevada heat.

While the course accommodates walking, players should be prepared for the desert environment by bringing appropriate footwear, sun protection, and hydration. Early tee times are recommended to avoid the afternoon heat, especially during summer months.

With friendly staff and local charm, Boulder City Golf Course invites visitors to enjoy a memorable round without the crowds of the Strip. Its inviting layout, scenic desert setting, and practical amenities make it a strong choice whether you are touring the area or calling southern Nevada home.

I booked this golf outting through Park mgm, the hotel I was staying at. The concierge was able to get me and my buddy at 8 a.m. tee time on a sunday. Which worked perfect for us. We took an Uber about 35 minutes from the strip. The course definitely has amazing views. It's not super hard but also not super easy either. I'm a newer golfer, so this was a great course to play on. We were paired up with a couple that was local to the area, and they recommended this course as one of their favorites. The carts are fully equipped with all the latest digital gadgets, and they even come with a cooler and ice. We had to supply the beer from the bar. The cooler only holds 6 so we had to refill it a couple of times, lol. Food and drinks were reasonably priced also. Buy Six beers get a 7th free, if memory serves me was about $28.00. We are from out of town so the club rentals came from the hotel. Club rental through the hotel was only $50. However, it did not include tee's or balls. We were able to get that at the course pro shop. I do recommend. If you have a chance, I do recommend playing this course!

Nice golf course with a simple set up. Greens are in decent locations to be able to hit on most holes. Price for quality is good. Reason for the drop in stars is tee times are a little close together. The MAJOR ISSUE with this course is they charge you $10 for a cooler. This is just disrespectful for the customer. Your golf course is located in a desert and your gate keeping coolers and ice? Very dirty business move and raises a safety/ethical concern for me. This is the only location in Clark county area who I’ve experienced this with. Disappointing someone would leverage profit over safety.

We had an 11:22am tee time on a day that topped off at 109 Degrees Fahrenheit when we left around 4:30pm. Although it was hot the trees all over the course made a major difference. The temps were much more tolerable. It is a fun course and one where you don’t lose a lot of balks if you’re off line a little on the yr shot. Would definitely recommend it for any time of year. The people working there were friendly and accommodating. Good experience. Will be back next time we are in town golfing.

I recently played at Boulder City golf course, and overall, it's a very nice course. The greens were in excellent condition, which made for an enjoyable round. However, one drawback was the pace of play, which was quite slow. Despite that, it's still a course worth considering for a day of golf.

(Driving range and restaurant only) Great prices and the range is nice also. They have putting and chipping areas as well. Just what you’d expect from a quick bite type of place at the restaurant with nice decor and history. Full bucket of balls is only $6 and a draft beer is around $5.50 👌🏻
