Course Overview

Beau Rivage Golf & Resort in Wilmington, North Carolina, presents an engaging blend of Southern charm and golf tradition within its 18-hole championship layout. This public course offers players a classic parkland-style experience where gentle elevation changes and mature trees frame each hole. The course's design encourages strategic shot-making without overwhelming golfers of varying skill levels, making it an inviting destination for beginners and more experienced players alike.

Stretching over 6,800 yards from the back tees with a par of 72, Beau Rivage balances challenge and playability through greens guarded by well-positioned bunkers and subtle contours that test precision on approach shots. The fairways are generously wide but require thoughtful navigation as they slope toward natural drainage areas and water hazards peppering several holes, rewarding accuracy over sheer power.

Set on a gently rolling terrain just minutes from Wilmington’s vibrant downtown, the course enjoys a scenic yet accessible setting. The surrounding landscape often plays its part, with coastal breezes occasionally influencing club selection and shot trajectory, adding a layer of dynamic difficulty especially on the longer par-4s and par-5s.

Beyond the course, Beau Rivage’s resort facilities provide a well-rounded experience, including a clubhouse offering dining options and event spaces. The range and practice areas are inviting for those wanting to refine their game before teeing off. While the course is open to the public, planning ahead is wise during peak seasons to ensure tee time availability.

Playing Beau Rivage means engaging with a golf course that respects tradition while welcoming golfers of all levels, capturing the essence of a Southern golf outing. Whether it’s the challenge of reading the greens or savoring the warm hospitality, this course offers a memorable round accented by the region’s natural beauty and the resort’s comforting amenities.

Course Highlights

We ADORE "the Beau". We've stayed frequently over the past 3 yrs while having our home built (LONG STORY) and have had a wonderful stay every time. Old but has such character! Great restaurant/bar, views of the range and course, WONDERFUL staff, everything about it is great. I would highly recommend!!

It was very nice! Someone called it a hidden gem in a review. That made me book the room! They were right! Even though I don't play golf! It was nice to see the professional golfers play! I'm black woman and it was an experience to watch them play in the rain! It let me know to be persistent in anything you want to do!

There is not a single bad thing that I can say about this place. Everything from the location, to the staff was phenomenal. Our wedding was not only the best day of our lives, but every single one of our guests had a great time. I would recommend this place to everyone for any event big or small. It will be the best time you ever had. I can't wait to go back and visit!

Great location. Pool was nice. Golf course nice. Clean and super spacious suite, but getting a bit worn looking. Time for some refreshing. We didn’t eat in the dining room so cannot speak to that. Staff were very courteous and helpful.
