Fargo Golf Course

Fargo, Georgia, USASoutheastern Georgia

Fargo Golf Course is a modest 9-hole layout offering an affordable and accessible round in southeastern Georgia. With gently rolling fairways and tranquil ponds, it caters to casual players seeking a relaxed pace in a natural setting.

Course Overview

Fargo Golf Course offers an inviting and affordable golfing experience in the heart of rural Georgia. This 9-hole layout provides a straightforward and approachable option for players seeking a casual round, whether they are beginners looking to sharpen their skills or seasoned players enjoying a low-key outing. The course stretches across gently rolling terrain typical of the region, with fairways lined by native grasses and punctuated by small ponds that occasionally host local wildlife, including a few alligators which add an unexpected edge to the peaceful setting.

Although the course does not offer advanced features found at larger clubs, it maintains a well-cared-for appearance thanks to the diligent efforts of its groundskeeper. Players should be prepared for moderate green conditions, as the surfaces show signs of wear and require cautious putting. Sand traps have become overgrown, reducing their challenge but inviting golfers to focus on shot placement and trajectory off the tee.

Fargo Golf Course does not have a driving range, so visitors are encouraged to warm up at home or nearby facilities before play. The layout’s shorter yardage suits those seeking a quick 9-hole session or a relaxed afternoon with friends without sacrificing the basics of golf strategy. Walking the course is straightforward, and the terrain is friendly for a stroll, but players might want to bring insect repellent, especially in warmer months.

The unpretentious fee structure makes Fargo accessible to the local community and visitors alike, with carts available directly from a shed using a simple honor system. This casual approach creates a welcoming atmosphere where the focus remains firmly on enjoying the game in a natural setting. Whether spending a weekend afternoon or dropping in for a quick round after work, Fargo Golf Course represents a practical destination for golfers who appreciate value and a relaxed pace over pristine tournament conditions.

Course Highlights

Small ponds that occasionally attract local alligators, grass-lined fairways, simple but functional course design accommodating all skill levels, and a no-frills approach emphasizing affordability and community accessibility.

One of the small town of Fargo, GA's little hidden treasures! VERY WELL MAINTAINED, both 9 hole course and golfcarts! Also, great for bird-watchers and even a few alligators live in the ponds!

It’s $5 for 9 holes walking, the best $5 you can spend in this county in my opinion. The greens aren’t good but everything else was fine I was so glad I found this place! There’s a bug or two around plan accordingly.

This is a fun place to go and practice your swings with friends! The course could definitely use a lot of work though. The greens are not smooth at all and the fairways are decent, just not the best. But it really is a nice place to get together with family and friends and play 9 holes with!!

I hated this golf course! Not that I mind walking (No golf cart available at that time) but it needs to be cleaned up, when we was there.

Best course in Clinch Co. Oh, it's the only course in Clinch County. Kevin (groundskeeper) keeps it in tip-top shape. Love playing with friends and family when I'm there.

Pretty nice course for the money. Greens are not in good shape and the sand traps are completely grown over with grass. Just put your money in the mailbox and grab a cart from the shed. Also, there is not a driving range.
