Cedar Creek Golf Course

Broken Bow, Oklahoma, USASoutheast Oklahoma

Set within the woodlands of Broken Bow, Cedar Creek Golf Course offers an 18-hole public layout that challenges golfers with tight fairways and well-maintained greens. Its natural terrain demands precision and strategy, making it a rewarding destination for intermediate and advanced players seeking affordable, scenic golf in Southeast Oklahoma.

Course Overview

Cedar Creek Golf Course presents an intriguing blend of natural beauty and golf challenge across its 18-hole layout, situated within the scenic landscape of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. This public course winds through a diverse terrain marked by lush woodlands and gently rolling fairways that invite a thoughtful approach from players of varying skill levels. While the course's fairways may test your shot-making precision, tight corridors framed by dense trees demand accuracy more than sheer power. Water hazards appear intermittently, adding strategic layers but without overwhelming the routing.

The greens at Cedar Creek are notably its strongest asset. Maintained with care, they offer true rolls, though slightly slower speeds help retain a challenge for those who trust their putting stroke. Some subtle slopes require careful reading and steady pace control. The tee boxes and fairways can show signs of wear, particularly after heavy rains, which means course conditions fluctuate seasonally. Players will find walking to be feasible but should prepare for uneven footing and occasional soggy sections; sturdy golf shoes with good traction are advisable.

Beyond the play, the setting offers peaceful views with mature trees and the occasional glimpse of Oklahoma’s natural woodlands around the course perimeter, enriching the experience without distracting from focus. A well-equipped pro shop and attentive staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The course’s pricing structure provides notable value, making it an accessible destination for golfers looking to balance affordability with a solid round of golf.

For those comfortable with a bit of challenge and looking to enjoy a round surrounded by native Ozark scenery, Cedar Creek offers a solid test that rewards strategic shot selection. The course fits well for intermediate and advanced golfers, while confident beginners who appreciate a learning curve will find it stimulating. Seasonal weather variations affect playability, so checking conditions before arrival is wise, especially during wetter months. Overall, Cedar Creek Golf Course delivers a distinct Oklahoma golf experience with its combination of natural beauty, strategic design elements, and genuine playing conditions.

Course Highlights

Cedar Creek features dense woodlands framing tight fairways and multiple water hazards that demand precision. The course’s greens are well-maintained and true, offering subtle breaks and moderate speed. Beautiful 18-hole course at bevers bend national park. This is not a beginner course. it is very challenging. Be prepared to lose some balls, lol. These are very tight fairways and multiple water hazards. The pro shop is top-notch with lots of merchandise to choose from. If you're out this way, this is a must play. Looking forward to going back

A little rough around the edges. The greens are in good shape but a little slow. There were multiple 6 somes playing but they let us play through. I would definitely return.

I’m not an avid golfer. My husband is. This is what he said. I would’ve given the range a 5, but he said a 4. Cons: Fairways were patchy. Pros: Greens were great. Scenery is amazing. They keep it mowed well. Marshall was nice and checked on us several times. They have free ice and ice chests. Now, my review. 5/5. Pretty course. Shade. Ice and ice chests. Greens were easy to put. If you’re terrible at golf, don’t start here, you’ll lose balls. Not a ton of water. I lost no balls.

The course has a lot of potential!! In my opinion though it is under funded and needs a lot of updates. The drainage is pretty bad, now granted the area has received a lot of rain over the last week, but the course needs to modify it more. The fairways were very soggy in areas, and then in others a lot of rocky areas along the fairways. Tee boxes were ok, greens were the best thing with the course. Number 1 green had huge soggy area in the middle , but the others were better. It appeared that the hole cuts were old and not fresh, the holes also were not cut level and many had a slight hump near the cup to cause the ball to veer off at the end. The views and area are nice, and a few changes it could be so much better. Green fees with cart were only $40, but I would gladly pay 60-70 if course was better.

My wife and I played there today March 25. The staff there is very friendly and helpful for one. The course is well taken care of, the greens are very nice, much better than my home course. Beautiful scenery with the lake backdrop, and very reasonable in price for such a nice course. Made a few birdies too.
