We rented clubs and a gas cart. The course is hilly. The greens are challenging, almost as hilly as the course. We saw several golfers using push carts. Fairways and greens are in good shape. There were several blind shots from the tee. THE RENT A CANS were clean. No drinking water on the course. There was a refreshment cart that came by often. The starter was friendly and helpful. The cart paths are black top. The pen has a small yellow flag to help you determine pen placement on the green. The course was busy. Thankfully, we did not see any wildlife other than birds. There were wildflowers and landscaped flower gardens planted throughout the course. The clubhouse has beautiful flowers. There is a chipping green, putting green, and driving range. The clubhouse has unique stock in the proshop. The restaurant has a varied menu.

Just played golf in my 49th state. One more to go. Course was in rough shape in many places I think because of a tough winter, but they are working hard to improve and make it better. The course design with mountaintop views everywhere places this course high on my list of places I've played. There was so much character to the course and the golf staff team was very friendly! Minnesota here I come for #50.

I can see why this course has such high ratings. Pros: *Excellent, knowledgeable & helpful pro shop staff. * Pro shop had everything we needed. *Carts were immaculate. *Driving range was in good condition. Practice green matched greens on course. *Club rental sets were very nice with a good selection available. *Views on course were spectacular. *Course condition and playability were spot on. *Beverage cart gal was there when we needed her. *Ranger was tactful and friendly when asking us to let group behind us to play thru. (We were paired with a couple of young guys that thought 20 something handicappers should play from the tips! Ha). Let's just say they did their part in keeping the golf ball industry alive & healthy. *From start to finish, a wonderful & memorable experience! Thank you AGC. Cons: Didn't see any moose or bears. Wish I had taken more pictures.

We played Anchorage Golf Course on a beautiful afternoon the day after it had rained for a few day’s straight. The fairways still had good roll out and the greens were in great shape. This is a walkable course with beautiful Mountain View’s! We flew in with a 7 hour layover specifically to play this course. We finished our round in just over 4 hours. Esther helped us out in the pro shop getting us quality rental clubs, balls and everything else for an enjoyable round.

Parking is free. The Anchorage Golf Course is very convenient for those who live on the south-side of Anchorage. I enjoy the driving range as it feels like I have space and a nice walk down to it. The road throughout the greens needs some attention in spots, but otherwise a roller-coaster if you're heavy on the pedal. The snack/drink cart isn't too bad on prices, so it might be worth bringing some cash. Overall I think beginners will enjoy the course and after 18 holes you should have all your frustrations gone. Fun course with great views! Only knock on the experience was that a squirrel stole my Bob’s Peanut Butter Bar from the golf cart on #9. Jerk.

Course was great but customer service was trash. I get done golfing and trying to buy some merch, looking around trying to find something alaska branded as im only here on military orders, leaving the next day. Other ppl are checking in for their tee time and the girls tell me they clocked out (its 10:05pm), and say they clocked out 5 mins ago. i ask why they didn't tell me 5 mins ago while I'm wasting my time looking for stuff. I bet if i said i was about to buy $10k worth of equipment it'd be different.
