Jacaranda Golf Club

Plantation, Florida, USASouth Florida

Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation, Florida, features two parkland-style 18-hole courses that balance accessibility with strategic depth. Known for its fast greens, well-maintained fairways, and vibrant clubhouse atmosphere, the club welcomes golfers seeking a varied and engaging round in South Florida’s terrain.

Course Overview

Jacaranda Golf Club offers golf enthusiasts a rewarding experience across its two distinct 18-hole layouts, the East and West courses, situated in Plantation, Florida. Both courses embrace a parkland style, boasting generous fairways framed by mature trees, well-placed water hazards, and strategically contoured greens that challenge shot-making without overwhelming players of varying skill levels. The terrain is mostly flat, typical of South Florida’s landscape, but subtle elevation changes—particularly around the greens—add an element of interest and demand precise approach shots.

The East Course is characterized by a slightly more forgiving layout, featuring wide landing areas and manageable water elements that encourage creativity off the tee and allow players to attack pins confidently. In contrast, the West Course presents tighter fairways and more pronounced hazards that reward accurate ball-striking and thoughtful course management, appealing to golfers seeking a greater strategic test.

Greens are known for their consistent speed and smooth surfaces, often drying quickly under Florida’s sun, which rewards well-planned putting strokes and pace control. Bunkers are well-positioned to defend key scoring areas, demanding a balance of power and finesse.

Off the course, Jacaranda provides a full-service clubhouse with a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends when live music and barbecue add to the social experience. The expansive grass driving range invites thorough practice, complemented by welcoming pro shop staff and efficient cart service. Although carts with GPS are standard, walking is encouraged where possible to fully absorb the natural surroundings and rhythm of play.

Jacaranda’s blend of approachable design and subtle challenges make it suitable for a wide spectrum of golfers, from casual players looking for an enjoyable round to low handicappers eager for a strategic test. The courses remain a popular destination in South Florida’s competitive golf scene, offering both variety and a genuine sense of place. Planning a visit during weekdays or early mornings can enhance pace of play and ensure the best conditions.

Course Highlights

Jacaranda stands out with its complementary East and West 18-hole parkland courses, combining flat and subtly elevated greens, extensive water hazards, and tree-lined fairways. The East Course tends to favor aggressive play with its wider fairways, while the West Course demands accuracy and strategic shot placement. Modern amenities include a grass driving range, GPS-equipped carts, and a clubhouse known for its welcoming atmosphere and social weekend events.

Both East and West are beautiful courses, I think the East might be a bit more fun but the West has a much cooler movement. Not only is the course a fun challenge but the atmosphere is great, with a grass range, classic starters, and on Sundays, you can smell the bbq and hear the music all the way from the parking lot. There's always a lot of action going on, with 36 holes and a full clubhouse and all, which always adds to the excitement. Although it is a bit far from me, and bit rough around the edges like any great Florida public course, I recommend this slightly-hidden gem to anyone I know.

Very nice park course lay out. Plenty of water. Flat, but many elevated greens. Bunkers and tee boxes needs serious maintenance. Pro shop service was really a great hasle when chargeing one set of of rental clubs instead for two players instead of two. Missing range charge.. We needed to go back. Buggy service excellent including travel luggage lockers.

Played the West Course and was very pleased with the layout. Challenging but fair, and staff was very friendly and accommodating in all areas. I love Jacaranda Golf club as it has two 18 hole courses however the east course is going through renovation with new turf.

Really nice wide open course. Fairways and greens in beautiful shape for the most part. $199 dollars American green fee was outrageous though. This course should be $100bucks maybe 125 tops. Had a good game but left feeling taken advantage of. For that price I expect perfection and it certainly was not. Also we played 18 holes and saw the beer cart girl once. Do better.

I’ll give it 4 stars because it’s a really nice course, great terrain, nice staff, service was excellent even the valet clubs are awesome. Price was a little high for the course but was really fun to play. Greens dried up really quick, and were fast. Definitely hard to hit that Florida soil sometimes : )

Beautiful course! Forward tee boxes were well manicured. Greens were fast. Had a great experience and definitely will return. Played the East course. A few water features, but definitely manageable. The pro shop staff were welcoming and professional. Played the East course again today. The Starter and the cart attendant were personable and friendly. They have one of their staff members to offer a promotion of hitting the green on a Par 3. You double your $20 investment to $40 if you hit the green. I was able to hit the green and used it in the Pro Shop. I thought this was a good promotion for their golfers. Played this course in 3 1/2 hours. Not sure if this is only for Valentines Day. The course is in wonderful shape, and the carts have GPS.

Play here if you are wondering where to play in Ft Lauderdale. First time playing here - played the west course since the east was closed down for renovations. Staff was incredible and course was in fantastic shape. Greens were perfect and the tee boxes were pristine.
