City of Lauderhill Golf Course

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USASouth Florida

City of Lauderhill Golf Course provides an affordable, approachable 18-hole par-3 experience just outside downtown Fort Lauderdale. Its short, walkable layout invites golfers of all levels to sharpen their short game while enjoying breezy Florida conditions and friendly service.

Course Overview

Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, City of Lauderhill Golf Course offers an accessible and budget-friendly introduction to the game for golfers of all ages and skill levels. This 18-hole par-3 layout, configured as nine holes played twice, provides a compact yet engaging golfing experience amid a cityscape marked by palm-lined fairways and open, sun-drenched greens. Its shorter yardages encourage players to sharpen their short game and precision, making it an ideal venue for newcomers, families, and those looking for a quick round without sacrificing the rhythm of play.

The course’s design emphasizes straightforward playability, featuring manageable tee shots that blend subtle strategic elements with the opportunity to practice approach shots and putting. Water hazards and bunkers are present but rarely punitive, allowing golfers to focus on shot execution rather than punishing errors. A gentle breeze rolling in from nearby coastal areas adds a subtle challenge to club selection, especially on the slightly elevated greens.

Aside from the course itself, the friendly on-site staff contributes warmly to the overall atmosphere, welcoming visitors and often sharing local tales as they navigate the fairways. Equipment rentals, including clubs, are available at a modest rate, complementing the low-cost green fees which make Lauderhill an inviting option for those looking to practice regularly without financial strain. Push carts and golf carts can be rented as needed, although the layout’s walkable scale invites golfers to enjoy the Florida air on foot.

While the greens may show signs of heavy use and are not always in pristine condition, the overall experience remains rewarding for players seeking fun and affordability over immaculate championship surfaces. For golfers looking to refine their game or simply enjoy a casual round close to Fort Lauderdale’s urban core, City of Lauderhill stands as a reliable, unpretentious golf destination that values accessibility and community connection.

$6 for 9 holes, $9 for 18 holes, $2 for a push cart. I just completed 18 holes in an hour and a half - great and inexpensive practice but don’t expect to be using more club than a 6 here. The greens aren’t in great shape but for the price of this course, it’s not really expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful with me - not sure what the other reviews sre talking about. I’ll definitely be coming here a lot more often to practice!

For the price, this course is an incredible value. For $11 you get 18 holes (play the same 9 holes twice) and a push cart. For an extra $5 you can get a driving cart, and for $5 more you can even rent clubs if you need. Most places I used to play were $20-30 just for green fees. Yeah it's nothing fancy, but for $11 it's a great place to play. Be honest with yourself: you're still going to slice or dump it in the water at the expensive course, so might as well play here and get the same fun for less money.

I have lived in Broward County most of my life. The game of golf is such a wealth of positive influence and opportunity. However, I have never been so disheartened by the raging gap increase cost wise this industry is burdened by. I rarely play & see how private clubs renovate & public courses hang by a thread. As a white man, I'm starting 2 c how even ppl like myself don't have disposable income to give 2 golf as in the past. Minorities have dealt w/ this reality forever & it's now becoming new 2 me. If golf was restricted when I deemed it affordable, I can now c how it was now that I am now in that set of circumstances. Golf governing industry, you have a growing problem on your hands, maybe you will hear the voice of a dying supporter that speaks 4 those that never had a chance to live as golfers.

The greens are in unacceptable shape and are very tough to putt on. I decide to rent clubs because I was visiting from out of town and clubs were in bad shape as well. I arrived at 1:30 and wanted to play 18, the receptionist tried her best to convince me to only play nine since they stop letting people tee off at 3:30 PM. There wasn’t anyone else playing so I don’t know why she wanted to rush me and get me to leave before 3:30. Probably because she wanted to get off work early. Overall good price for a couple rounds but customer service needs to improve.

⛳️ 5-Star Review for City of Lauderhill Golf Course 🏌️‍♂️ What a fun par-3 course! We were welcomed by friendly, smiling staff and easily rented two full sets of clubs. They even threw in tees and balls for free—such a nice touch! On our way to the first tee box, we met Rick, a kind older gentleman who’s been golfing there for years. We walked the course together, and he filled the round with local history, great conversation, and a whole lot of fun. A truly memorable experience—highly recommend! 🌞💬⛳️
