Course Overview
Eagle's Nest Country Club offers a private, 18-hole golf experience that challenges and rewards players at every turn. Located in Somerset, Kentucky, this course blends traditional layout principles with a distinctly natural setting, creating a playing field that respects the contours of the land. The rolling fairways are lined with mature trees, and subtle elevation changes add layers of strategy and depth to each hole. While the design keeps play accessible for golfers of various skill levels, precision is often required to navigate its carefully placed bunkers and thoughtfully protected greens.
The course’s conditioning reflects a commitment to maintaining a top-tier playing surface year-round. Fairways remain consistently smooth, and the greens offer true, quick rolls that test putting strokes without overwhelming the average player. Players will notice that the course’s layout incorporates thoughtful use of natural hazards rather than artificial embellishments, emphasizing a pure golf experience.
Beyond the course itself, Eagle's Nest extends its appeal with a well-appointed clubhouse that serves as a hub for members. The clubhouse features dining and social spaces that encourage guests to relax after a round and build camaraderie. Practice facilities include a driving range and a dedicated putting area, supporting players looking to sharpen their game.
Strategically positioned bunkers guard many of the greens, demanding accurate approach shots. The interplay of sunlight and shade across the landscape changes throughout the day, offering a visual rhythm that golfers will appreciate. Walking the course is encouraged, and typical conditions call for sturdy footwear due to natural terrain softly undulating throughout the layout.
Eagle's Nest privileges a members-only policy, ensuring a private environment where pace of play and course etiquette are highly valued. Guest access is limited to invitations or member-sponsored events, sustaining a close-knit community feel. The layout’s competitive yet fair challenges make it attractive to both seasoned players seeking a classic round and less experienced golfers working to improve.
For golfers traveling to Somerset, Eagle's Nest offers a refined, traditional golf experience grounded in natural Kentucky beauty, combining solid performance conditions with a warm club atmosphere.

FYI: Visitors can play on this “Private Course” during the week (M-Fri.). We unfortunately didn’t have the time. I most assuredly will next time we’re down.

I’m new to the Area and was looking to test a few courses out so I called Eagles Nest.I asked if I could come try the range and they told me NO. I was wanting to get a feel for the course but with that type of treatment to a potential member I passed and decided to become a member at General Burnside. While I was playing a scramble this past Wednesday other members told me they have received the same treatment by Eagles Nest. Can’t really rate anything other then customer service but for that I give 1 ⭐️

Nice golf course practice area is topnotch. I was just there for a putting refresher. Tim was a topnotch instructor very professional and helped me work out some bumps in my putting that wasn't supposed to be there.
