I’ve been on the greens, attended a few Rotary events and have always had a great experience. The foods always good and the staff has always been amazing.

Tee times double booked & only spaced at 8 minutes. Talk about a cluster of a Saturday morning. 5.5 hour round. Won’t be back unless it’s a tournament. Course was in decent shape. Folks can’t fix ball marks though.

We choose this site initially for the views and fair pricing, but Tracey and the golf club went beyond our expectations for our wedding and I couldn’t have asked for more even if I wanted to! She was basically a wedding coordinator, helping us plan several months ahead of the wedding, making sure the food was right (chef is amazing and they accommodate to many dietary restrictions), managing people on the day of the ceremony, and just overall unmatched communication skills. Part of the package deal was staying on campus the night before (which housed all of the wedding party comfortably), and the night after. Thank you all for everything!!

If I could rate it zero, I would. Played over 5 hours and couldn’t finish due to time constraints. No cups on the course for getting water. Allowed a young teen with no experience to go out and take multiple extra shots. Marshal said he would take care of it; he didn’t. Nobody took any responsibility for anything. Young kids working the check in just give condescending smirks when asked for information as to who to contact. A totally ruined day for $77.50. Not worth it at any price. We used to have tournament fund raisers in the fall. Going to strongly suggest we cancel all future events. Play at your own risk.

I didn’t play the course this time, but the driving range was well-maintained with targets. There was a disgusting smell around the driving range area, I wasn’t sure what that was. Green is pretty slow and the clubhouse is large with a deck. Pretty nice golf club to go to.

Our wedding on 7/20/2024 at Shenandoah Valley was everything we could have wanted and more! After touring a few venues at the beginning of our wedding planning process, we made our decision easily after meeting with the SVGC team as they were flexible, accommodating, and ready to make our day what we wanted it to be. Once we selected SVGC as our venue, they were very responsive to communicating/meeting with us when requested and making sure our wants/needs were met. Even with a few changes in staffing, our wedding day didn't skip a beat. A special shoutout to Janet for making everything go as smoothly as possible. In addition to Janet, the wait staff was amazing as well as the bartenders. I highly recommend SVGC if you're looking for an affordable wedding venue that is flexible, doesn't have a ton of rules and regulations, and is ready to make your day what you want it to be. In addition, the two houses that they have on site are great to use for bridal party spending the night/getting ready as well as the night after the wedding for guests to stay. It was a beautiful night that we will remember forever, and we have the team at SVGC to thank for that! Photo credits: Alex & Suzanne Photography
