Gleneagles Golf Course | West Vancouver, BC

West Vancouver, British Columbia, CanadaPacific Northwest

Gleneagles Golf Course offers a scenic and compact 9-hole layout that challenges golfers to master precise shot-making amid coastal mountain views. Its parkland style and well-kept greens make it ideal for players seeking a brisk yet engaging round in West Vancouver's natural setting.

Course Overview

Gleneagles Golf Course in West Vancouver offers a distinctive golfing experience shaped by its intimate 9-hole layout set against the rugged backdrop of coastal mountains. Designed for players seeking a quick yet engaging round, this course combines the natural contours of the landscape with a layout that challenges club selection and shot precision. The course’s parkland style emphasizes tight fairways framed by towering evergreens and glimpses of the nearby Burrard Inlet, blending a rustic atmosphere with breathtaking vistas.

Though compact, Gleneagles demands thoughtful play from golfers across skill levels. Strategic tee placements and varied hole lengths invite both novices and more experienced golfers to hone their short game and approach shots, with subtle elevation changes adding a layer of complexity. The well-maintained greens reward accurate putting, while the absence of power carts encourages players to embrace the rhythms of walking through a course that balances physical engagement and focus.

The clubhouse acts as a welcoming hub, featuring a cozy café that has earned praise for its fresh, flavorful fare served in an atmosphere both relaxed and invigorated by panoramic views over the course. Visitors often find the café an ideal spot to unwind after a round or gather before tee-off.

Located a short drive from downtown West Vancouver, Gleneagles fits seamlessly into the Pacific Northwest’s natural canvas. While the course offers a serene retreat, it also presents an accessible challenge for golfers looking to sharpen their skills in a setting that feels far removed from city bustle.

This course is best suited for golfers who appreciate a tight, well-kept track that favors shot-making over length. Planning ahead for walking the course is recommended; comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate layers will enhance the experience, particularly as coastal winds can influence shots on exposed holes. Despite its shorter length, Gleneagles remains a rewarding test where each hole speaks to the relationship between player and terrain.

Course Highlights

Great little course for practice! The tee boxes were in rough shape and the Greens were under repair when we arrived. Decent prices and fun little course with friends. The views of the course and the clubhouse was the highlight of the course. No power carts and no beverage attendant on the course. Beginner course.

Lovely dinner at the club's restaurant! Easy going menu, nothing fancy but everything was very good. The price point is very reasonable and the staff was amazingly welcoming. Special thanks to our french waitress who gave us very good advices and was in a very polite and cheerful mood. Me and my live will come back for sure.

Overall, a fun and well-priced golf course. The restaurant is excellent with great food and service. But the grumpy old dude at the front desk is a total disaster. Worst customer service I’ve experienced. Avoid that guy like a sand trap!

had an amazing experience at their cafe From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee or a full meal, the quality is outstanding. The scenic view of the golf course adds a special touch, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this café to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a lovely ambiance. I’ll definitely be coming back! Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience as a newcomer to Canada visiting this golf course at Horseshoe. My friend and I were not familiar with how things work at golf courses here we didn’t know we had to check in or pay before starting, and made the honest mistake of walking onto a course to practice. I was honestly very excited to try golf for the first time, and in my enthusiasm, I didn’t even think about check-in or payment. I just happily pulled my partner toward the course, full of joy and curiosity. Instead of being guided kindly, we were approached by several people in a demeaning and very hostile way. They stared at us, whispered, and made us feel extremely unwelcome. When my friend accidentally hit a ball that didn’t belong to us, a group of people shouted aggressively, and one of them even made a very racist and humiliating comment: “Do you even know what golf is?” As someone new to this country and trying to explore and learn, this experience was deeply discouraging. It made me feel unwelcome and ashamed for something I didn’t even know was wrong. I truly hope this place and the people who use it can become more inclusive and understanding of newcomers. To all the people today who made me feel like I never want to play golf again I’m truly sorry for you. I hope one day you see this message and realize how deeply your behavior can affect someone who’s simply trying to enjoy a new experience👎🏼 I am proudly Iranian but unless you are Canadian or Chinese, I would not recommend visiting this place. Unfortunately, it does not feel welcoming to those who are different🙂

Beautiful course tucked into the West Vancouver mountains. Only 9 holes but well worth it. Challenging typography and a quick and dirty game. Wholly recommend.
