Ledgestone Country Club - A Challenging Public Course with Scenic Elevation
Ledgestone Country Club in Reeds Spring, Missouri, presents an 18-hole public course where elevation changes shape a challenging yet accessible experience. Its strategic demands, rolling terrain, and natural surroundings offer a rewarding round for golfers seeking thoughtful play in the Ozarks.
Course Overview
Ledgestone Country Club offers a compelling golf experience amid the rolling hills of Reeds Spring, Missouri. This 18-hole public layout demands both strategic shot-making and thoughtful course management, thanks to its significant elevation changes and a variety of natural contours. Golfers encounter fairways that wind through wooded terrain, while tee shots often require precise yardage judgment due to multiple blind shots. The course’s topography introduces a steady test of accuracy and club selection, rewarding those who adapt to its unique challenges.
Players will appreciate how Ledgestone balances difficulty with playability. Although the routing is challenging—especially for mid-to-high handicappers—the course remains accessible to a broad audience, offering multiple tee boxes to tailor the round. Elevation is a defining characteristic here, influencing ball flight and making club choices critical, particularly on long par-4s and par-5s that push players to think beyond straight lines.
The setting provides ample visual interest without overwhelming the golfer. Tree-lined fairways shape several holes where precision off the tee is essential, while subtle green complexes introduce nuanced putting challenges. The course's landscape interacts quietly with the wind, which can subtly affect shots, especially on elevated approaches.
While the course’s beauty shines, golfers should note that amenities remain basic. The clubhouse services are modest, and walkers should come prepared for a hilly walk across natural terrain with comfortable, supportive footwear recommended. Carts are available but not mandatory, encouraging players who enjoy walking to embrace the natural rhythm and tempo shaped by the hills.
Overall, Ledgestone Country Club stands out for its engaging elevation holes and a fair but demanding layout suitable for golfers eager to test their skills in a genuine Missouri landscape. Those planning a visit should expect a course that challenges judgment and rewards thoughtful play under varied conditions, making it a memorable stop for any traveling golfer.

Nice course. It could use a driving range but it was a good design and very nice for the price.

Ceiling was falling down, landscaping was not being done! Heck even tree limbs were all over ground! Very unkept

Golf course was in great shape and was amazing to play but the pro shop staff was absolutely horrendous. Total jerks to the people in front of us and then continued to talk bad about them while then being rude to us. I usually never write reviews but for $170 a person and to be treated like that is unacceptable.

Fun morning at Ledgestone CC. Very nice course, lots of elevation changes through out the course and a number blind tee shots. Would definitely recommend and would play again when in the area.

The 3 guys in the clubhouse couldn't have cared less that we were there. No beverage cart, no ball washer at the tee box, no amenities to speak of! The course is beautiful, but difficult for an average golfer. I would play it again, for half the price!

Enjoyed a great round of golf on a Wednesday while on vacation. Stunning scenery and challenging but fun elevation changes on course. Marshalls were awesome on a busy day. We played last summer, and made it a priority to play this summer too!
