Sea Scape Golf Links

Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USAOuter Banks

Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk presents an 18-hole public course where approachable design meets coastal charm. With its well-maintained Bermuda turf, distinct routing, and carefully crafted challenges, it offers a rewarding experience for golfers seeking a balanced round in the Outer Banks.

Course Overview

Sea Scape Golf Links offers golfers an inviting and thoughtfully maintained 18-hole layout situated in the heart of the Outer Banks, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. This public, resort-style course balances approachable play with moments of strategic challenge, making it an excellent choice for players of varying skill levels seeking a coastal golfing experience that is both enjoyable and memorable.

The course stretches just under 5,900 yards from the championship tees, presenting a par-72 challenge that rewards accuracy and creative shot-making. Though not a lengthy test, Sea Scape’s design cleverly uses elevation changes and natural features to keep scoring engaging. Peninsula fairways rise slightly and fall away into well-kept Bermuda grass, providing a smooth roll and consistent lie, while sand bunkers stand ready to catch errant approaches with finesse rather than menace.

Players will find Sea Scape’s routing compelling, as each hole occupies distinct ground without sharing fairway edges, offering a sense of privacy and focused play uncommon in resort courses. Holes 13 and 14 stand out as a brief stretch that sharpens the challenge, demanding well-placed shots to navigate water hazards and strategically positioned bunkers. The greens present moderate undulations, making putting a test of touch more than power.

The overall setting is comfortably coastal but without the harsh winds that characterize many seaside links. Sea Scape’s landscape shifts gently with the terrain, framed by clusters of pine and native vegetation that add character without obscuring views or complicating shots.

The clubhouse provides a warm welcome and helpful service, with staff known for their friendliness and professionalism. The practice facilities are straightforward but sufficient, allowing players to warm up or refine their putting before teeing off.

For those planning a visit, walking is encouraged, thanks to the course’s manageable length and thoughtfully placed paths, although carts are available by request. Because this is a public course within a resort area, tee times can be booked in advance, which is recommended during peak seasons.

Sea Scape Golf Links stands as a solid Outer Banks option where the course design and maintenance combine with a relaxed atmosphere to offer an accessible yet gratifying round of golf.

Course Highlights

Sea Scape Golf Links earns distinction for its uninterrupted routing where no two holes run side-by-side, enhancing player focus and course identity. The Bermuda grass surfaces, particularly on tee boxes and fairways, stand out for their playability and upkeep. Holes 13 and 14 create a memorable inland challenge amidst an otherwise coastal setting. Friendly staff and efficient operations lend the course a welcoming vibe uncommon at resort-style venues.

Simply put, the most enjoyable of the three courses our family has played over the last 9 years while visiting the obx. The Currituck club is ok but for almost 200 a pop it’s not worth it! Tee boxes are always awful and greens are covered in ball marks!!! For 200 they should have someone following the last group out and fixing ball marks on every hole! The pointe is nice and the least expensive of the bunch but having to cross over the causeway adds to the drive. Course is in good shape but not having to drive further makes it a tough sell. This year we played sea scapes golf links and loved it. We were the second group off. Pace was great. Tee boxes that worked for everyone (ages 76-12). Loved the fact that the tee boxes were filled with grass! Greens had way too many pitch marks but that is just a product of vacation golf (unfortunately, because I do feel this is a relatively easy fix). I must have fixed 5+ pitch marks on each green!!!! The best part for me was the routing! Each hole was its own hole, no holes running along side each other, making for a golf course experience that I love! We’ll be back!!!

First time here from new england. Bermuda grass was great to play off of. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in tip top shape. Head pro was very helpful and genuine and the experience was spectacular!!! Played a solid round. Challenging course especially hole number 13 and 14. Even though it rained for two holes, it was a great round! Will be back again!

Very nice local golf course. The people were friendly and the service was very good. We played on a Friday in mid May and had some back up and wait time between holes….but some of this is to be expected. Fairway, tee boxes, and sand traps were in nice condition…all in all, a decent local golf course….. I was expecting a bit more from a golf course in a resort area and the price point paid. Worth playing once but would look for other options in the future.

Wow. So, I have played every course in OBX and this is hands down the best course there. Tanner made the experience great. Course conditions were great, but the value and experience were provided by the pro shop and other personnel. First time playing here and we started on the back 9. Tanner went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Majority of courses could learn something form this place. Will def be back.

Terrific greens! Challenging at times despite being less than 5900 yards. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great value. Looking forward to playing the course again.
