Sea Scape Golf Links

Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USAOuter Banks

Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk offers an 18-hole, Bermuda-grass course that blends a family-friendly layout with accessible challenge. Its unique routing and coastal setting provide a refreshing golf experience suitable for all skill levels.

Course Overview

Sea Scape Golf Links presents an 18-hole public course that offers a refreshing blend of challenge and accessibility on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Located in Kitty Hawk, this course unfolds across gently rolling terrain, featuring lush Bermuda grass fairways and greens that invite strategic play without overwhelming less experienced golfers. Sea Scape’s layout is designed to appeal broadly, welcoming families, vacationers, and locals seeking a well-maintained track with a relaxed pace.

The routing avoids parallel holes, allowing each hole to stand apart and offering a true sense of variety and flow throughout the round. This design choice enhances the experience by reducing distractions and providing a distinct character for every green and tee box. With a total yardage shorter than many championship tracks, it rewards precision over brute force, making it approachable for players of all skill levels.

Scenic surroundings incorporate the coastal environment subtly, with native grasses and occasional water hazards contributing to the course’s natural feel. While not a links course in the traditional sense, the landscape captures the region’s spirit, and prevailing winds occasionally play a role in shot selection, adding a mild test to your tempo and strategy.

Underfoot, Bermudagrass tees and fairways offer a firm, consistent surface, ideal for runners seeking durable turf and clean ball lies. The greens, while generally smooth and well-kept, can show vacation wear that encourages players to help maintain conditions by repairing ball marks diligently.

The clubhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere, with a helpful and approachable golf staff ready to assist. Tee time pacing is generally steady, although holiday weekends can bring some delays. Walking is permitted and recommended, with proper shoes advised due to the turf and terrain.

Sea Scape Golf Links balances a dependable golf experience with the coastal charm of the Outer Banks, rewarding players who value thoughtful design and approachable scoring in a relaxed environment. This course offers a solid option for visitors and locals aiming to enjoy a round amid friendly service and well-tended grounds.

Course Highlights

Sea Scape Golf Links is distinguished by its thoughtful routing with no parallel holes, offering a distinctive sense of progression throughout the course. The Bermuda grass surfaces provide consistent ball lies, while the modest yardage emphasizes strategy and shot-making over distance. A pair of mid-course holes near water hazards present subtle challenges, and the course’s setting on the Outer Banks lends gentle coastal influences without overwhelming wind conditions.

Nice course. Greens very nice. Fairways a little spotty. Tanner was extremely helpful!

Very nice local golf course. The people were friendly and the service was very good. We played on a Friday in mid May and had some back up and wait time between holes….but some of this is to be expected. Fairway, tee boxes, and sand traps were in nice condition…all in all, a decent local golf course….. I was expecting a bit more from a golf course in a resort area and the price point paid. Worth playing once but would look for other options in the future.

First time here from new england. Bermuda grass was great to play off of. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in tip top shape. Head pro was very helpful and genuine and the experience was spectacular!!! Played a solid round. Challenging course especially hole number 13 and 14. Even though it rained for two holes, it was a great round! Will be back again!

Simply put, the most enjoyable of the three courses our family has played over the last 9 years while visiting the obx. The Currituck club is ok but for almost 200 a pop it’s not worth it! Tee boxes are always awful and greens are covered in ball marks!!! For 200 they should have someone following the last group out and fixing ball marks on every hole! The pointe is nice and the least expensive of the bunch but having to cross over the causeway adds to the drive. Course is in good shape but not having to drive further makes it a tough sell. This year we played sea scapes golf links and loved it. We were the second group off. Pace was great. Tee boxes that worked for everyone (ages 76-12). Loved the fact that the tee boxes were filled with grass! Greens had way too many pitch marks but that is just a product of vacation golf (unfortunately, because I do feel this is a relatively easy fix). I must have fixed 5+ pitch marks on each green!!!! The best part for me was the routing! Each hole was its own hole, no holes running along side each other, making for a golf course experience that I love! We’ll be back!!!

Wow. So, I have played every course in OBX and this is hands down the best course there. Tanner made the experience great. Course conditions were great, but the value and experience were provided by the pro shop and other personnel. First time playing here and we started on the back 9. Tanner went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Majority of courses could learn something form this place. Will def be back.

Terrific greens! Challenging at times despite being less than 5900 yards. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great value. Looking forward to playing the course again.
