Hawaii Prince Golf Club

Ewa Beach, Hawaii, USAOahu Coast

Hawaii Prince Golf Club offers a welcoming resort-style golf experience across three distinct nine-hole courses. Well conditioned fairways, strategic hazards, and coastal winds combine to provide an accessible yet stimulating round for players of all levels.

Course Overview

Set against the gentle slopes of Oahu’s southwestern coast, Hawaii Prince Golf Club delivers an engaging test across its three distinct nine-hole courses. This public, resort-style layout artfully balances approachable play with subtle challenges, making it suitable for golfers at a variety of skill levels. The course’s open design features well-maintained fairways that roll smoothly beneath your shots, punctuated by strategically placed bunkers and water hazards that reward precision and strategic thinking.

The landscape reveals broad vistas framed by light tree cover and gentle elevation changes, inviting golfers to enjoy both the game and the Hawaiian climate. Strong trade winds often shape shot selection, particularly on exposed holes where gusts nudge the ball’s path, introducing a layer of natural complexity that keeps every round interesting. Greens are medium-speed with subtle undulations, encouraging thoughtful putting and adding a touch of challenge without overwhelming less experienced players.

Hawaii Prince Golf Club welcomes visitors with a straightforward, user-friendly approach. The driving range operates with convenient, automated ball dispensers and mat-based hitting areas, open into the evening to suit busy schedules. Practice facilities include three well-maintained putting and chipping greens that mirror course conditions, helping players prepare their short game before teeing off. Rental clubs are available, making the course accessible for travelers and casual golfers arriving without their gear.

The clubhouse offers a casual dining experience, though service hours vary; it’s advisable to plan meals around the course’s schedule. While the course occasionally fills up, especially on sunny days, advance tee time reservations smooth the way for a seamless outing. The overall layout favors a steady rhythm and clear sight lines, allowing golfers to navigate the round confidently while absorbing views of Hawaii’s natural surroundings.

Whether you seek a relaxed round or want to test your game against local conditions, Hawaii Prince Golf Club provides a balanced mix of scenery, service, and challenge. Its three nine-hole courses combine variety with consistency, creating an experience that’s both welcoming and rewarding from the first tee shot to the final putt.

Course Highlights

The course’s three nine-hole tracks offer varied challenges shaped by natural elevation shifts and coastal breezes. Water hazards come into play on several holes, demanding careful shot placement. Well-kept greens feature subtle breaks and medium speeds, requiring thoughtful putting. The practice facilities, including three putting and chipping greens and a night-friendly driving range with automated ball dispensers, support comprehensive preparation. The open terrain with occasional tree lines balances visibility and wind influence, making shot strategy dynamic but fair.

Lovely public golf course. We booked 7am on Thursday and the course was pretty wide open. Pristine conditions; tee boxes were extremely well maintained as were the fairways and greens. Didn't land in a divot all day (don't ask how many fairways I hit tho). Greens are on the faster side and roll true - no crazy reads. The course has mild rolling hills and pretty straight forward. Some shorter scoring holes. Miss hits won't hurt you too bad within reason. You'll be able to find your ball into most trees that separate holes. Fine place for newer golfers. Spam musubi at the turn is delicious - get it if they have any left. Driving range doesn't open before 7am - we were hoping to hit some balls before our round but only had the putting green before our tee off. There are some deals/discounts if you wait last minute to book - if your schedule is flexible. 2 days before or day before can get you discounts but those discounted times could all be gone at any time.

Very nice course, well maintained and challenging. This course has three nine hole courses. The starter will assign you two of them for the round. The course is scenic and the weather is usually nice in this area. It does get busy so calling ahead and making a tee time is suggested. The good: The entire course is really nice. The tee boxes are well kept with nicely cut grass. The fairway grass is nice and appears to be cut daily. There are no bald or bare spots on the fairway, and the balls tumble nice. There are some hills and undulation, so pick a good spot, or the ball may take an unexpected kick. There are trees off the fairway, but not an overbearing amount. This course has a few fairway bunkers, which are kept up. There are water hazards on some holes so look ahead and veiw the cart GPS to see them before hitting. The greens are in great condition and putts roll nicely and smoothly. These greens are on the faster side, and the grass grain does affect the putts... makes it challenging and fun. There is some undulation on the greens so putt carefully. The bunkers are also nicely kept. The bad: Didn't run into anything really notably bad. Had a great time here. Practice area: -Putting and chipping green- there are three putting and chipping greens. Very good conditions, and the speed represents the greens on the course. -Driving range-the driving range is nice, and it uses mats only. There is an automated ball dispenser that takes credit cards. The driving range is open at night, and check for times. The club house has a restaurant that is open when the course is open. The food is pretty good, especially after a round.

Nice well manicure golf course. Fairways and ree boxes are like carpet. Medium challenging course. Water in a few holes. We're here on vacation, and they do have rental clubs.

The cart stopped working midway through the race, and the course screen was showing other places and holes, but no matter how much I tried to reset it, it didn't work. It's a shame because this never happened before.

This is a very open course with strong winds and a decent view. I did enjoyed it, but be aware of the many water hazards. The course is well maintained and club house was clean. The bar could have had more options. We didn’t get a chance to try the food because they stopped serving by the time we finished the First 9 (3pm).

Beautiful golf course and very friendly staff! Food and drinks are quite expensive, but your cart does come with 2 free waters. Course was fun and driving range was well taken care of and organized.

Nice, resort style course in nice condition. Flat, medium speed greens that were firm and fair with a mostly open layout made it a good first stop to get our swings in order for the rest of the trip. Our pace of play was very slow, taking just over 5.5 hours to finish.
