Course Overview
Country Meadows Golf Course presents a straightforward, 18-hole layout situated in Venango, Pennsylvania, offering an accessible option for golfers seeking a casual round at a modest price point. The course features an open, parkland-style configuration, with fairways framed by mature trees and straightforward greens that place a premium on shot placement rather than high-level strategic complexity. Its setting is characterized by gentle rolling terrain rather than dramatic elevation, lending an ease to navigation whether on foot or by cart.
Players will find the course approachable across skill levels, from beginners to mid-handicappers, with most holes designed to reward accuracy and course management. The greens are generally receptive and maintain a true roll, though the course’s upkeep has received mixed reviews regarding conditioning and maintenance, something to consider when planning your visit. The island green at one of the holes stands out as a notable feature, adding a dash of character amid an otherwise functional layout.
Country Meadows supports a relaxed pace with affordable green fees that attract local golfers and visitors alike. The course tends to suit players who appreciate a no-frills round and welcome the opportunity to practice consistent ball striking in a welcoming environment. Amenities are basic but functional, with a small clubhouse providing the essentials for registration and socializing post-round.
Visitors should prepare for variable playing conditions — maintenance issues like tall rough and bunker quality have been noted, so wearing shoes with good traction and flexible footwear can enhance comfort on less manicured sections. The course encourages walking, supported by relatively flat terrain, but cart rentals are available for those who prefer.
Country Meadows offers a chance to enjoy a simple, unpretentious round of golf in the Pennsylvania landscape. It is best suited for golfers seeking affordable green fees without the challenges of a championship-level test, making it an accessible spot for those who value a pleasant outing over tournament-style competition.

Very nice laid out course. Greens are easy to read and the holes are enjoyable. They are all unique and not one is the same. The island green is an iconic staple. Great price for any round, too. Enjoyed playing here and highly recommend.

The entire course needed cut, 6-7in rough, the bunkers have grass and concrete sand. The lady in the clubhouse was unprofessional, gave our group attitude for no reason. They obviously don’t care about maintaining their course or their players. There are plenty of other courses around the area that are way better and cheaper. Very disappointed in the fact that it cost $25 to play 9 here.

Charging full price when the course clearly needed maintenance. I’ve played many courses, and the roughs and fairways here were borderline unplayable. On top of that, they denied us a rain check, claiming 'it’s not even that bad out,' despite this being the forecast. Really like the course just terrible treatment and not maintained well.

Course isn’t maintained very well. They allowed multiple groups of 6+ golfers out so 18 holes took us 6 hours. There’s enough great courses around, you don’t need to play this one

I like the course but the course is not cut well and when it starts to rain before we even tee off on the back nine we get 13 dollars and not even a free 9 for a rain check. Very disappointing with the level of course it is.

The fairways and rough are basically the same thing. Greens are okay. The day we went was cart path only.
