I try to make it down to those gem at least once a year from Buffalo, and as per usual the course didnt disappoint. Even with tons of rain earlier in the week the course dried out nicely and was in fantastic shape. Green were soft but rolled true, Staff was friendly and helpful, only complaint would have been the damn black flies.

Nice fun course! 1st time here and found it to be very playable for being carved out of the woods. Greens were a bit slow, but in good shape. Only problem I had was my 3:10 tee time was more like a 3:25 tee time as 2 groups took it upon themselves to go early. 2.5 hour 9 was all I could handle with the painfully slow pace of play.

From the time we pulled up to this course until the time we left, it was a tremendous experience. The course is visually stunning and the conditions were immaculate! The tee boxes were flat and well maintained, the fairways cut nicely and well sculpted and the greens were surprisingly quick and rolled true. All this was after what appeared to be a pretty drenching storm, the course drained well with very little swampy spots, but with some wet spots. We drove up 100 miles from Pittsburgh to play the course and we were not disappointed, from the gracious greeting from the gentleman in the pro shop to playing this magnificent course, this is clearly one of the finest public golf courses in the state of Pennsylvania comparable to Boulder Creek or Kennsington in Ohio, definitely a must play and must return! Advice would be to drive ahead on a lot of holes to figure out how to play and where to place shots, perhaps if they provided a book with information that is available hole to hole online with their website it would have been advantageous, no gps but an abundance of yardage markers on both sides of the fairways were helpful and accurate.
