Harbor Ridge Golf Course

Erie, Pennsylvania, USANorthwest Pennsylvania

Harbor Ridge Golf Course in Erie, PA, delivers a compact but engaging 9-hole experience that balances accessibility with subtle challenges. With views toward Lake Erie and a welcoming clubhouse grill, it caters to golfers seeking well-maintained conditions and a quick, enjoyable round in a residential setting.

Course Overview

Harbor Ridge Golf Course offers a distinctive 9-hole layout that challenges golfers while providing an accessible and inviting golfing experience. Situated in Erie, Pennsylvania, the course sprawls within a residential subdivision yet manages to maintain a character shaped by subtle elevation changes and views that hint at nearby Lake Erie. This design balances the straightforwardness expected from a neighborhood course with pockets of challenge crafted through varied hole lengths and strategic hazards.

The course's terrain blends gently rolling fairways with well-placed bunkers that encourage thoughtful shot-making instead of brute force. Small but firm greens demand precision with approach shots, especially when the lake breeze influences ball flight and tempo. Golfers of all skill levels can find enjoyment here: novices will appreciate the approachable setup, while more experienced players can test their accuracy and course management over the tight, often undulating putting surfaces.

Harbor Ridge operates as a public facility, appealing especially to locals looking for a quick round without sacrificing quality. The clubhouse features a cozy grill and outdoor seating on a covered deck, providing a relaxed spot to unwind after play. While the course currently operates with a modest set of amenities, ongoing improvements have been noted, including care taken with course conditioning despite seasonal challenges in the Erie climate.

For visitors planning a round, walking is encouraged and readily manageable given the course’s compact footprint, though cart rentals are available. The layout’s manageable length supports a steady pace of play, making it ideal for players with limited time but a desire for a well-maintained challenge. Early spring through fall offers the best conditions, though Erie’s weather can demand some flexibility.

Harbor Ridge is a solid choice for those who value a straightforward, playable course with enough character to sustain interest. Its proximity to the city and views toward Lake Erie give it a quiet charm distinct from larger, more complex facilities visible elsewhere in the region. Golfers seeking a quick test with friendly staff and a simple dining option will find Harbor Ridge a fitting destination.

Just finished up my first round at this crappy course. I would never recommend anyone coming here to play. They are charging over $30 to play a course that looks like it has never been taken care of. Though i would give it a shot since it’s been nice out, never ever coming back here again. Halfway through the round around hole 5, my cart started dying, had to turn it off every time i go to get off just to keep it from dying on me. This is pathetic!! There are courses around Erie charging less than this place for 18 holes and in way better conditions, quality, and service. Whispering Woods is only charging $20 for 9 and $30 for 18, and that course is one of the nicest in PA!! Never come to this place unless you want to be SCAMMED!!!

Came here last year to eat once on a weekend late afternoon. Sign says “please seat yourself” when you walk in. We waited for 20 minutes and got ignored the whole time. Tables around us all being served the whole time. Got up and left. Just had the same exact experience a year later. Would golf here, wouldn’t eat here.

Very nice course. Ownership has continued to improve the golf course each year for several years now. Great deck area and friendly staff.

Best 9 hole course around. Good mix of yardages and difficulty. Good food and great views. Played yesterday and for being a warm day in March, course was in great shape. Again..it's March in Erie on a 9 hole course in a subdivision. It's not a country club, thank you for being open! Management has done a great job improving the course and it's offerings.

Challenging 9-hole course in the middle of a housing plan with view of Lake Erie in the distance. Great small grill/restaurant including outdoor seating on covered deck. Good food, decent prices.
