Six stars for a beautiful, meticulously maintained and masterfully designed golf course. Outstanding food and service in the clubhouse. Breathtaking views. Take a lesson from head pro Dane Thorman, one of the best in the business. My all time favorite mountain course.

The club is lovely friendly inviting etc. The gym/spa area super comfortable and easy. The dinner was good, not great. We were a big party so I tasted at least 7 apps/entrees and 2 desserts. Tempura veggies were tops, french fries, and of course your choice of wine which was delish! The rest was just good to so-so. Mac n cheese standard, trout also medium good, too small.. The special John Dory I didn’t like but you’ve got to like salty fishy fish. The rolls are a little disappointingly basic but the huckleberry butter was neat. The brownie dessert was loved by many at the table but I’ve never had a classic brownie ice cream dessert at a restaurant I’ve liked and this was the same. (Box brownie mix kills them). It was so not that of fine dining but rather any mid-level American restaurant chain. The chocolate soufflé was delicate and the chocolate flavor was far too subtle but a good actual hint of a flavor. My friend said bland, I can’t argue. Service was super friendly but had many lapses where the waitress seemed to blank on us (table of 10) when we needed her or we were long ready to order and she was tooling about in the dining room setting tables vs attending us. Half our party was seated for 15-20 mins and no one approached us nor thought to give us water which in this dry, dehydration-inducing winter environment is KEY. We were gasping for it. I had to waive down a bus person and ask for water. So yeah, not a tight ship, and dinner dragged on for it, but nonetheless we enjoyed ourselves a lot and the vibe and Christmas decor gave a proper, warm winter experience.

Absolutely one of the best courses I have ever played. Some of the views are unbelievable, when you are standing on the 6th hole green and look out over at Whitefish lake you will finally understand the term "GOD'S COUNTRY "
