Course Overview
Meadow Lake Golf Course in Columbia Falls, Montana, offers an approachable yet engaging 18-hole golfing experience set against the backdrop of the northern Rockies. This public resort course stretches over approximately 6,300 yards from its championship tees, playing to a par 72 that combines classic parkland design with subtle mountain influences. Open year-round depending on weather, Meadow Lake presents a refreshing blend of natural beauty and thoughtful layout that appeals to a broad range of golfers.
Fairways at Meadow Lake are generous but require precision as undulating terrain and well-placed bunkers protect the landing zones. The greens offer a moderate challenge, rolling true and maintaining a resort-friendly pace that encourages a flowing round without sacrificing strategic interest. Local knowledge proves valuable on a couple of more idiosyncratic holes, particularly the 4th and 18th, where subtle slopes and tee placements test course management.
Surrounding the course, native grasses sway alongside pockets of dense forest, while occasional glimpses of grazing deer add a quiet wildlife presence that enhances the outdoor atmosphere. Players will appreciate the course’s playability, balanced between a welcoming layout for high-handicappers and nuanced challenges that keep established players engaged.
Meadow Lake also offers modern amenities including a clubhouse with dining options known for friendly service, a pro shop stocked with essentials, and a practice facility to warm up before teeing off. Twilight and junior rates make the course accessible to families and those seeking value during later hours. While some areas such as tee boxes have seen wear following heavy seasonal rains, course maintenance remains attentive to preserving overall condition.
For those planning a visit, walking is possible though some terrain can be soft; comfortable golf shoes are recommended. Meadow Lake’s outdoor seating creates an inviting space to relax after your round, soaking in views of the surrounding landscape. Whether travelers are seeking a rewarding golf outing on vacation or locals aiming to sharpen their game, Meadow Lake Golf Course delivers a straightforward and enjoyable experience worthy of exploration in Montana’s scenic setting.

Tee boxes, fairways and greens are always good. The course holds water and plays soft most of the time. Greens are resort friendly speed wise, but will challenge. A couple quirky holes you need to know where you’re going (#4, #18) Staff was hit and miss again. I like the fact they now have a twilight and a junior rate.

I've done some work for Meadow Lake, and I have also been here many times. Everything from the Customer Service, to the management is great! Everyone at the resort works together like a well oiled machine to make this a comfortable and great place to be at all times! I haven't met an unhappy person on the resort yet! Please consider coming here for golf, swimming, or a great retreat! P.S. SCMG Construction:)

Some pretty beat up tee boxes and some fairways uneven/ raked out. Tee box on hole two was all new sod but it was soaking wet and just turned into a mud pile. Staff very friendly. Only saw the cart girl on the front nine. Currently not worth 105$ a round in its current state.

Beautiful outdoor seating. Ww stopped o. For drinks and appetizers. Server was training another person. Both were attentive and kind. Food was delicious and quick. Would go back. We had the brisket quesadilla, the wings, artichoke and spinach dip and the truffle fries. All had hood flavor. The wings were tender and the crostini with the spinach and artichoke dip was amazing. Truffle fries were good and came with a great dipping sauce.

Great stay on vacation. Deer out around the golf course every night. Clean and relaxing. Bar and Grill was pretty good .. you do have to wait a bit for food and service. As they are short staffed. But the staff are champions. And get to you as quick as they can. Worth it

charging 15 dollars for a handicap person to ride in the seat next to me and watch is extremely penny pinching and awful. Never have i ever been to a course to pull off something like that. Just Horrid. on only 9 holes. just wow meadow lake....
