Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, USANorthwest Florida

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club combines a precise, strategic parkland layout with a serene coastal environment in Northwest Florida. Its 18-hole championship course offers a firm test for diverse skill levels, complemented by top-tier practice facilities and welcoming service.

Course Overview

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club offers a meticulously maintained 18-hole championship layout that balances challenge and enjoyment in the heart of Florida’s scenic panhandle. This semi-private resort course unfolds across gently rolling terrain, framed by mature trees draped in Spanish moss and native coastal vegetation. The setting invites players to navigate a parkland-style design with subtle undulations and well-positioned water hazards that command precision rather than length.

Running just under 7,000 yards from the back tees with a par of 72, Santa Rosa rewards accuracy and strategic shot-making. Fairways are generous but closely guarded by bunkers that frame the landing zones, while the greens hold firm yet true, offering ample chances for players of various skill levels to read breaks confidently. Water comes into play thoughtfully on several holes, demanding caution without overwhelming the field.

The course’s flow encourages steady rhythm, complemented by quick pace-of-play conditions that keep the round engaging without feeling rushed. The practice facilities enhance preparation, featuring a dedicated putting and chipping area that shares the green of the 18th hole, creating a unique setting to refine touch before the back nine push to the finish.

Hospitality at Santa Rosa is a highlight in itself. The clubhouse provides a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, perfect for post-round dining or soaking in coastal breezes. Staff are consistently praised for their attentiveness and expertise, helping visitors feel welcomed whether playing competitively or casually.

Golfers planning a visit should appreciate the course’s moderate length combined with thoughtful strategy, making it approachable for mid- to low-handicap players who enjoy a test of shot variety over sheer power. Walking the course is encouraged, with smooth paths and well-maintained turf beneath comfortable footwear recommended for the natural Florida terrain. Whether a seasoned competitor or a spirited recreational player, Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club presents a rewarding day on the links set against a quiet coastal backdrop that invites return visits.

Absolutely incredible experience 1) The course - it is in phenomenal shape. It's not a long course but one that punishes any lack of accuracy. Greens were pristine and rolled true. Pace of play was quick but also the course was just not busy. They do a great job of spacing but also the course and membership isn't oversubscribed 2) The range and practice facility was great. Nice area for chipping and putting. The putting-only green is actually a shared green with the 18th hole, which is a neat experience in and of itself. It's a max distance of 250 since it's in a neighborhood but that shouldn't be an issue to dial in whatever you need 3) The staff - probably the best part all around. The pro-shop, bag drop, on-course marshals, starter - all absolute class acts. Made us feel incredibly welcome, were extremely knowledgable and helpful. We met the head of golf on the course and he gave us some tips (we asked, he wasn't pushy at all) - very helpful. Many times a pro-shop attending, or starter are just reciting rules but our experience was much better. I'll be joining as a member now - excited to play here more!

I really enjoyed playing the Santa Rosa course. Played from the blue tees, and thought it was challenging, but with scoring opportunities available. If you are hitting your driver straight, you will have a lot of mid to short irons into the receptive greens. There is just enough water to keep you aware of where you should leave your misses. The greens seemed a little sandy, but rolled perfectly, and stayed on line. The club house and practice facilities were top notch. Only to be matched by the courteous and friendly staff. Can't wait to play there again.

One of the best courses in North West Florida. Great staff, great food, and most importantly... consistent beverage cart availability for the inevitable 'implosion hole(s)'!
