Wasatch Mountain Golf Course
Wasatch Mountain Golf Course in Midway, Utah offers two distinct 18-hole public courses set against mountain and lake landscapes. Both tracks combine strategic design with natural beauty, delivering memorable rounds for golfers of all skill levels.
Course Overview
Wasatch Mountain Golf Course offers an invigorating escape into the rugged landscapes of Midway, Utah, where two distinctive 18-hole tracks deliver contrasting yet equally captivating experiences. The Mountain Course challenges players with its tighter fairways and elevated terrain carved directly into the mountain’s contours, demanding precision while rewarding with sweeping vistas of the surrounding peaks. Its layout leverages natural elevation changes that influence shot selection and club choice, making the round as much a mental exercise as a physical one.
The Lake Course presents a more expansive canvas, weaving through varied topography and featuring water hazards that attract local wildlife, adding an extra layer of visual enjoyment and strategic complexity. With generally generous fairways and well-kept greens, this course offers a more forgiving test suitable for a broad range of skill levels, helping less experienced golfers find their rhythm amid stunning scenery.
Both courses are public and pride themselves on consistently excellent conditioning, evident in the lush fairways and smooth putting surfaces maintained despite Utah’s shifting seasons. The blend of mountain forest and open meadows creates a natural ambiance where the cool air carries the scent of pine, and every hole presents a fresh frame of towering trees and distant ridges. Players often remark on the serene atmosphere, interrupted only by the steady rhythm of shots and occasional wildlife glimpses.
Wasatch Mountain’s clubhouse stands as a welcoming hub with friendly staff ready to assist, a well-stocked pro shop, and the Wasatch Mountain Cafe. The cafe is notable not only for its quality menu but also its inviting seating that overlooks parts of the course, perfect for regrouping after a round.
Beyond playability, the course’s thoughtful tee placement and design accommodate all proficiency levels, making it an attractive destination for families, casual players, and serious golfers alike. The interplay of elevation, strategic hazards, and natural beauty ensures every round is memorable. Planning ahead for walking footwear is wise, especially for the Mountain Course, where elevation gains can intensify physical demands. Early tee times often allow golfers to enjoy softer greens and a quieter setting.
Whether you seek a challenging mountain layout or a scenic lakeside track, Wasatch Mountain Golf Course extends an accessible yet engaging invitation to explore Utah’s golfing terrain.

Wasatch Mountain is truly one of Northern Utah’s best-kept secrets and well worth the drive from either the Salt Lake or Provo valleys. With two distinct 18-hole courses, each offers its own unique scenery and challenges. The Mountain course, in particular, stands out for its breathtaking views. Course conditions have been consistently pristine during my recent visits, and I’ve never had an issue with pace of play. The staff are warm, welcoming, and helpful, and the pro shop is well-stocked with everything a golfer might need. Special shoutout to the Cafe as it’s a hidden gem on its own right, offering a great selection of food and drinks along with plenty of comfortable seating. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic, and affordable golf experience, I can’t recommend Wasatch Mountain highly enough!

This is a great course with reasonable prices. Staff is super friendly and the tee times are spread enough that we didn’t have problems with pace of people ahead or behind. The views and landscape are amazing. Grill has good food, too (except for the scones). Love this place.

Amazing public course. Very well maintained with some cool holes. Elevation gains as you play through your round provides good photo opps

This golf course in my opinion is one of the most beautiful in the State! The lake course is 18 holes sporting wildlife any given day. The Mountain Course is 18 holes; cut right out of the mountain, it is a little tighter than the lake course but just as beautiful. The staff in the Golf Shop are amazing and so helpful. The Cafe has new Management, and they are doing an awesome job. If you want to have a great day of golf or you just want a great view while having Breakfast or Lunch head up to Wasatch Mountain Golf Course and The Wasatch Mountain Cafe, you won't be disappointed.

Incredible golf course. It’s public and great value sometimes campers will come over and play and really slow down the pace of play but other than that no flaws. Club house is very nice the staff is incredible and the cafe has a nice beer selection. The views are some of the best in state. I prefer the lake course but the mountain one is just as as nice.
