Outlaw Golf Club

Hideout, Utah, USANorthern Utah

Outlaw Golf Club offers a challenging 9-hole course with six par-3s and three par-4s, set amid rugged northern Utah terrain. The layout rewards precision over power, framed by expansive mountain views and a natural, executive-style design.

Course Overview

Outlaw Golf Club presents a compelling golfing experience set against the rugged backdrop of northern Utah’s picturesque landscape. This 9-hole course, located in Hideout, offers a blend of challenge and scenic reward that appeals particularly to golfers looking for a quick yet engaging round. The layout features six par-3 holes alongside three par-4s, creating a compact executive-style track that demands precision and thoughtful shot-making.

The course winds through natural terrain marked by narrow fairways and perched tees that call for careful club selection. Visually, players are treated to expansive views of surrounding valleys and distant mountain ridges, which unfold as the round progresses, enhancing the sense of isolation and focus. While the terrain introduces forced carries and partially blind shots, the layout encourages strategic play rather than sheer distance.

Outlaw Golf Club welcomes players with a variety of skill levels but leans toward those comfortable with accuracy and control. Beginners and families will find the course approachable, while more experienced players can enjoy the test of positioning and the risk-reward elements presented by its design. However, some inconsistency in green conditions has been noted—greens may vary from soft and receptive to somewhat patchy and uneven, which can influence the short game experience.

Cart paths follow the course’s contours but can be uneven in spots, so cautious navigation is advised. Walking the course is feasible and offers an intimate perspective of the landscape, though sturdy footwear is recommended given the natural surface and elevation changes.

Complementing its golf, Outlaw Golf Club delivers value through accessibility and stunning mountain vistas, making it well-suited for those seeking a concentrated golf outing without sacrificing scenery. The course’s thoughtful combination of layout and location provides a welcome destination for a diverse group of golfers looking to engage with Utah’s outdoor beauty in a sport-specific setting.

Course Highlights

Distinctive for its compact par-3 and par-4 mix, Outlaw Golf Club challenges golfers with narrow landing areas and forced carries. The course’s true highlight is the surrounding mountain vistas and natural Utah terrain that shape each hole. While the green conditions vary, the layout offers a memorable test of accuracy and strategy within a short round format.

This is a 9-hole course with 6 par 3s and 3 par 4s. The course is very scenic. From the tips it is a challenging layout (partially blind shots and narrow landing spots) but the greens unfortunately were not good. The greens had fairway length grass and were patchy. I had a fun time playing this course due to the layout but greens were frustrating. If you have the right expectations this course can be fun.

Little executive course with incredible views. Great for beginners, greens are soft and good mix of holes.

If you are someone who cannot strike a clean 100 yard ball then this isn't the course for you. Cart paths are sketchy in places and half the time we had no idea where the next hole was. The cost was a little high for what you get. Wouldn't come back but the views and scenery were great.

This is a nice course for what it is. Beautiful vistas, nice people and a good value. Wonderful place for fun family golf. Greens are very spotty and rough. Fairways are tight with forced carries. Target golf. If signage were better, I'd have rated this 5stars.
