This compact 9-hole layout provides a welcoming atmosphere for players seeking a casual round in a relaxed setting. The course design balances straightforward playability with pockets of challenge, making it approachable for golfers of varying abilities. The terrain is defined by gently rolling fairways bordered by native grasses and patches of wetland, which come into play on several holes. I have been playing golf at lake Redding since the late 1970's. It has always been a fun course to play. I've seen the course through good and not so good conditions, with a few owner changes. Recently the new owners have put in a lot of hard work this last year to make this course mostly enjoyable again!

Nice atmosphere, but the course is rough. I lost a number of golf balls in the fairways due to the weedy conditions. A few of the holes had water in the cup. Students get free club rental!

Fun layout. Reachable par 4’s. Super soggy cart paths and fairways. Cart paths are rough. Greens are SO bad. Worst putting experience I’ve dealt with. The grass is overgrown or dirt/patchy on every hole. Employees were very kind. They have golf carts for rent or pull carts. Renovations are happening soon due to the course being purchased by a new owner last September. Course has potential, looking forward to seeing if the greens turn around.

What great owners, pets and greens, for being a 9 hole course ,you could not ask for a better experience all the way around!

Golf this course very frequently, about 5 times a week. I know they are trying very hard to repair this course but recently have tried to golf in the middle of the day and all the sprinklers were turned on. The entire 9 holes had sprinklers going. Maybe should not have them going on a Saturday afternoon. Did not golf because of this. 🤨

I am typing this as I am sitting on the tee box of the ninth hole, waiting to finish a round that took way too long to play. I’ve played here quite a lot of times, and the course is getting in better shape over time which is nice. That being said, the pace of play is atrocious. They do nothing to make sure you aren’t waiting 10 minutes at each tee box, and almost every time you come out there’s a long line from the first tee all the way to the ninth tea and it’s insanely backed up. Today alone I saw two groups of 5 and also a group of 6, no wonder the course is always backed up. I get it’s a local place and everyone is all “buddy buddy” with each other, but if they could just have the worker keep an eye on the pace of play and let the slow groups know to let people pass or to play faster, I think it’d solve the issue. Update: The course conditions have worsened a bit. Had to knock off another star.
