Course Overview
Carved into the rugged mountains of northern Vermont, Jay Peak Resort Golf Course offers an exhilarating 18-hole challenge that merges diverse terrain with breathtaking panoramas. This public, resort-style layout commands attention with its elevated tees, winding fairways, and green complexes shaped by natural elevation shifts. Each hole seems to engage the surrounding landscape in a quiet dialogue, where elevation changes test shot selection and mountain breezes influence club choice. Stretching over 6,700 yards from the back tees with a par of 72, the course rides a slope rating near 153, revealing a stern challenge for low handicappers while remaining approachable with thoughtful tee placements for intermediate players seeking to sharpen their skills.
Walkers will find the terrain invigorating but manageable, with well-maintained cart paths and strategically placed resting spots. Players benefit from a practice area featuring a driving range and a putting green, ideal for pre-round warm-ups or honing short game precision. The golf pro shop carries essential gear and extends a warm welcome that complements the friendly atmosphere noted by many visitors.
Several holes stand out for their thoughtful integration with the mountain backdrop, none more so than the approach into the 7th green, where panoramic views create moments of visual relief amid competitive golf. The course’s layout rewards strategic thinking and shot creativity, inviting golfers to take advantage of downhill drives or tightly threaded approach shots framed by dense forest and natural stone outcroppings.
Beyond the course itself, the adjoining clubhouse serves as a hub for convivial post-round gatherings. The Grille is prized for its casual fare and local brews, offering a satisfying conclusion to a demanding day on the links. Whether you’re seeking an intense round or a place to connect with nature amid competitive play, Jay Peak Resort Golf Course presents a compelling mix of environment, challenge, and hospitality in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains.

First off.... I love this golf course, 5 rounds here and it just gets better every time I make the trip up here... There are some of the most beautiful mountain views of any golf course in VT. Aaron in the golf shop was incredibly welcoming and made us feel like a member. If you find yourself anywhere near Jay Peak during the summer, make it a point to play here! The view into the 7th green is worth the greens fee alone.

This is a top 3 public course in New England. With a 153 slope from the back tees and elevation changes on most of the holes, this place ensures a challenging round even for the most discerning. A must play for anyone who appreciates unique layouts and beautiful views!

Unreal views, very well maintained, friendly staff, beautiful nature, nice little driving range and practice green. $49 after 2 pm for 18 holes and cart, you really can't beat this price for a course of this caliber.
