Stone Meadows Golf Course

White Haven, Pennsylvania, USANortheastern Pennsylvania

Stone Meadows Golf Course presents an accessible 18-hole parkland-style layout that balances generous fairways with challenging greens. Known for its peaceful surroundings and highly playable design, this public course delivers solid value and varied play that suits a wide spectrum of golfers.

Course Overview

Stone Meadows Golf Course offers an approachable golfing experience on its 18-hole layout located in White Haven, Pennsylvania. This public course combines elements of classic parkland design with short but engaging hole layouts that encourage thoughtful play over sheer power. The course features wide fairways that ease the pressure on errant shots while presenting moderately contoured greens that demand precise putting strokes, especially on the front nine. The opening nine holes play shorter, evoking the feel of a par-3 course with a strategic emphasis on shot placement and green reading. In contrast, the back nine stretches out with longer yardages and more varied challenges, rewarding players who bring patience and tactical awareness to each tee shot.

Set amid gently rolling terrain and pockets of natural foliage, Stone Meadows maintains a peaceful atmosphere conducive to relaxing rounds. The privacy of each hole is a notable trait, allowing golfers to move through the course without feeling crowded. The layout gently interacts with its environment, and while maintenance quality varies—particularly with some bunkers and fairway conditions—there remains a raw charm to the overall property.

The course suits a broad range of players, from beginners who appreciate generous landing areas to mid-handicappers and lower handicaps who can enjoy the nuanced green complexes and back-nine length. Despite a few inconsistent conditions, Stone Meadows stands out for its excellent value and a calm pace of play, making it a practical choice for local golfers and visitors alike.

Additional amenities include a modest pro shop and accessible practice areas, though the staff’s friendly and welcoming attitude enhances the experience as much as the course itself. Walkers will find comfortable paths and minimal elevation change, with mosquito control measures that allow undisturbed focus during warm-weather rounds. Whether chasing personal bests or simply enjoying time outdoors, Stone Meadows offers an inviting canvas for golf enthusiasts seeking a straightforward, enjoyable day on the links.

Course Highlights

The course’s front nine plays shorter with tighter green complexes that reward precision, while the back nine stretches out with longer holes and more strategic variety. Privacy between holes enhances the pace and enjoyment, and notable efforts in mosquito control contribute to a comfortable playing environment during warmer months.

Course is a blast. Perfect place to go out with the boys and chase some balls around. Can’t beat the price, challenging little design too. She’s trickier than she seems on the scorecard.

This course isn’t bad. It has it flaws but for what it is I applaud certain features. I payed 11.25 for an 18 hole round. I got my round for 66% off with a coupon. It is a very easy course with wide fairways and short yardages. The front 9 feels like a restructured par 3 course with slightly more challenging greens. The back 9 is significantly longer. It has some challenges that made for a good round. One major positive I will especially note is the mosquito control is amazing here. Still bees and dragonfly’s but no pesty bugs. I wish the pro shop had more merchandise and drinks. Overall a great value round.

Played this course the other day and let me tell you it’s in rough shape, fairways are like a rough on 75% of the course with very overgrown and dead patches everywhere. The bunkers look like the sand is 2 years old and it’s not even weed whacked so they’re overgrown and dead. Greens are hit or miss, some were really nice and fast and others were slow with massive dead patches. However the course had a great rate, nice staff, and is a pretty course outside of that. Back 9 is definitely more player friendly and more fun but front 9 is very rough. Overall I would definitely play the back 9 on this course for short rounds but don’t think I’ll play 18 again.

It's 4:45 pm on a Saturday afternoon, sun is out perfect weather. Pull in to play 9 holes (4) people and the guy washing the carts said "I'm not staying 4 hours for you guys. Last golfers just left, call me next time" Google says they close at 7:15pm. Awful experience
