Featuring three nine-hole courses, it combines strategic playability with comfortable amenities in the heart of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Course Overview

Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, offers an engaging and well-maintained golfing experience across its unique 27-hole layout, divided into three distinct nine-hole courses. Set against the backdrop of gently rolling terrain and framed by mature trees, the course blends elements of traditional parkland and subtle mountain influences that shape its character. Golfers will find a variety of shot-making challenges that reward accuracy while remaining accessible to a broad range of skill levels.

Each nine-hole loop presents its own set of strategic decisions, often requiring well-placed tee shots to navigate tight fairways and occasional forced carries. The greens are known for their smoothness and moderate speed, adding another layer of precision to approach shots and putts. Wildlife sightings, including deer and smaller forest creatures, often accompany play, offering brief distractions and a sense of connection to the natural setting.

The course’s condition garners praise for its meticulous grooming and vibrant fairways, even during shoulder seasons. While the tight spacing of tee times sometimes creates a brisk pace of play, the management’s efforts to maintain flow make it manageable for most rounds. The onsite amenities include a fully stocked pro shop, a bar, and a restaurant, providing a comfortable space to relax before or after a round.

This course appeals to local enthusiasts and visitors looking for a course that balances challenge with enjoyment. Players should bring extra golf balls due to the demanding carry shots and tree-lined holes. Walking is encouraged and reasonably comfortable, with gentle elevation changes, but suitable golf shoes are recommended for firm footing. Blue Ridge Trail invites golfers who appreciate variety, a well-kept landscape, and a course that invites thoughtful shot execution rather than brute power.

Overall, it remains a favored destination for those in the Mountain Top region seeking a competitive yet approachable golf outing within a scenic and wildlife-rich environment.

Course Highlights

Such a great course, greens were fast, fairways were great. Enjoyed the terrain differences and wildlife. The trees make it challenging. Played twice and would definitely go back.

Man did I wanna give this place a 5 star review I was there last week for a bachelor party the guy who helped us Friday morning (April 11, 2025) was great super friendly and helpful heck even the bartender was great the course was in impeccable condition! So why am I leaving a once star review well I left my range finder there during the bachelor party. Yes I know that’s my fault I’m not saying I’m not wrong but anyways I call the pro shop a week later to see if they can locate it the guy gets all huffy and puffy when I tell him I’m out of state from ny ok so I say listen can I send a box or FaceTime and employee to see if it’s there (I know it’s there because that’s the last place I had it) he basically told me no and hung up the phone I know I left the range finder there but like that’s a 250 dollar piece of equipment I was willing to ship the box and pay for shipping to find it it’s just unfortunate a pro shop employee was all pissy about helping out someone that needs help oh well

Really nice course. The grounds were nicely kept. It was not too busy for the twilight special ($30 for all you can golf starting at 3 o'clock). Beautifully landscaped all around. A nice layout, even a bad golfer like me was able to keep most shots in play. Saw lots of wildlife as well, deer, rabbits, a racoon, squirrels, and chipmunks. That was just in our round today. The screen with the hole picture, distances, and score was nice. Definitely will come back to play again!! Just as nice a second time!

The course is one of the best manicured in the area with 3 nine hole courses. Each Nine Hole Course will test your shot making abilities. Bring a few extra golf balls as there are some forced carries and tight fairways. There is a fully stocked pro shop, bar and restaurant. Tight Tee times are scheduled 8 minutes apart and slow play can cause some long rounds of golf.

I play in a league here. The course is always a charm to play on. The hole layouts are great, as they vary in difficulty and strategy. Lots of wildlife to keep you company (bring big spray). Two problems. First is they tend to squeeze non-league players in bad positions (i.e. in front of or behind you) and that can really screw up your game. The second problem is the pin placements are sometimes ridiculous. I've also heard this from other players too. Overall, certainly worth the money to enjoy a round of golf.
