Tahlequah City Course / RIVERLINKS GC

Tahlequah, Oklahoma, USANortheast Oklahoma

Tahlequah City Course, known as RIVERLINKS, is a public 9-hole course offering a relaxed, approachable golf experience in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Its open fairways and modest layout provide an accessible outing for all skill levels, with affordable green fees and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere.

Course Overview

Tahlequah City Course, also known as RIVERLINKS Golf Course, offers a straightforward yet engaging 9-hole layout designed to welcome golfers seeking a relaxed round within a friendly, small-town atmosphere. Located along 2200 Golf Course Rd in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, this public course presents a mix of challenge and accessibility that suits players from beginners to mid-handicaps. While the course features just nine holes, golfers are encouraged to play two loops for a full 18-hole experience under $20, making it an economical choice for those exploring the area or looking for a casual outing.

The terrain is gently rolling, framed by open fairways and modest tree lines that shape each hole without overwhelming. The greens tend to be on the softer side, showing some wear but generally playable, and provide subtle breaks that reward careful putting. One of the more memorable holes is the 235-yard par 3, which, with a well-placed tee shot, offers a brief moment of strategic interest compared to the otherwise forgiving layout.

Maintenance is a clear point of ongoing attention here. While some sand bunkers have become firm and little more than rough patches, the fairways remain consistently mowed, supporting a reliable pace of play. The driving range alongside the course is maintained with care and available for a modest fee, offering a convenient place to warm up or fine-tune your swing. Staff at RIVERLINKS are often noted for their welcoming nature, contributing to an inviting overall vibe.

Walkers are welcome, though golfers should bring comfortable shoes suited to uneven turf and occasional soft spots. The modest length of the course and its openness lend themselves well to a relaxed pace and an opportunity to enjoy a quiet round without the pressure of championship conditions. For players visiting Tahlequah, RIVERLINKS Golf Course stands as a practical, budget-friendly spot to sharpen skills or simply enjoy a few hours outdoors amid the gentle rhythms of Northeast Oklahoma.

Cheap enough, but greens were patchy in spots and sand traps are just like concrete potholes. Scorecards were just photocopies which had been xerox'd so much you couldn't read most of the information on them. "Pro shop" had no tees for sale... said, "we don't do that."

I was in town for work and had to kill some time when I decided to go find a driving range to hit a bucket of balls. Range balls were only $3, the range was well maintained and mowed. The staff was really nice too.

Played 7/20/24. Course was in really good shape, greens were a little fuzzy but I will take that over dead spots. Easy except for the 235 yd par 3. $10 green fee is the best part!

It's a 9 hole course but you're allowed to play 2 rounds. I love that it's not too busy most of the time! The staff are always friendly and informative 😁

Friendly staff and a cool course. I wish they had range balls, but you can bring your own at hit as much as you want at the driving range. Just got to pick up after yourself.
