Noble Hawk Golf Links presents an 18-hole public championship layout that challenges golfers with distinct front and back nines, well-maintained greens, and a setting that demands precision and steady pace. This course invites players seeking a balanced test delivered across varied hole styles.

Course Overview

Situated in Kendallville, Indiana, Noble Hawk Golf Links offers an 18-hole public layout that presents a compelling challenge for golfers of varied skill levels. This course balances playability with strategic complexity, making it a popular choice across Northeast Indiana. The front and back nines differ significantly in character, delivering a dynamic golfing experience that rewards versatility and careful club selection.

The course's maintenance garners consistent praise, with well-kept fairways and greens that demand precision yet remain forgiving enough to keep pace steady for most players. There is a notable emphasis on greens with subtle breaks that test putting skills without feeling prohibitive. Bunkers stand as clear obstacles, though observations suggest some could benefit from additional sand to improve conditions. Still, their placement encourages thoughtful navigation rather than forced aggression.

Noble Hawk’s landscape opens up to expansive views, where tree-lined holes frame the fairways and occasional elevation shifts add interest to course strategy. The layout demands a well-rounded game: tee shots must be thoughtfully placed, while approach shots require accuracy to avoid penalties around the greens. Golfers will find an engaging rhythm weaving between holes that differ enough in style to avoid monotony.

Facilities support an enjoyable visit, with a clubhouse that provides a base for relaxation and socializing after rounds, although some visitors have noted concerns about interior cleanliness that may warrant attention. Lesson availability exists on-site, but prospective students should confirm scheduling directly, as reported inconsistencies have impacted some guests.

Noble Hawk encourages walking and offers carts, catering to varied preferences. While the course is accommodating to amateur players, those seeking a stern test will find enough challenge to keep their skills honed. With its attractive pricing and distinct nines, it remains a notable site within the Indiana golf scene where the landscape quietly shapes every shot and pace remains a key part of the strategy.

Course Highlights

The course is distinguished by its contrasting front and back nines, combining tree-lined, strategic fairways with varied elevation. Great course not sure what happened to the clubhouse it smells awful inside. Maybe a plumbing leak, an animal urinating inside??pay and play you'll be ok the bunkers could use more sand as well some are like hitting out of dirt. I know don't go in them and I wouldn't have that problem. Unfortunately I'm an amateur like the rest of you. But I do enjoy consistent greens and bunkers.

I'll start by saying the golf course itself it great. But the people doing their lessons is a different story. I have tried twice now to get golf lessons for my wife only to have Michael not show up. She drives there and then he isn't there. We tried once last year and he was a no show because he forgot. She mentioned trying again this year so I called and had an appointment scheduled for Michael and he never showed up because she was the only lesson he had. Why schedule a lesson if you're not going to show up.

I want to start by saying that I absolutely love this course and play here all the time. However, some issues have been bothering me, which have nothing to do with the layout itself. Firstly, there is zero enforcement of tee times. If I had a dollar for every time I was forced to tee off 10 minutes late despite being on time, I might have a higher net worth than Elon Musk. Recently, I finished a round where a family of eight was ahead of my tee time. While I understand that friends and family want to play together, this kind of congestion completely destroys the flow of the game. I love golfing with my friends and family too, but having such large groups on the course at once is problematic. Additionally, I’ve had negative experiences with the “warden” of the clubhouse, who verbally berated us for playing at a ten-minute pace and threatened to kick us off the course for stalling play. I’d love to know where these people are when my 1:30 9-hole game turns into three hours due to a family reunion on the course. On a positive note, this is by far one of the best courses in Indiana. It’s affordable, challenging, and fun. The front and back 9 are so distinct that it’s hard to believe they are part of the same course, creating an amazing atmosphere. Despite these issues, I still think highly of the course and hope that these concerns can be addressed to enhance the overall experience at Noble Hawk.
