Eagle Glen Golf Club
Eagle Glen Golf Club offers a well-rounded 18-hole public course with varied tee options and fast greens that reward precision. Set on gently rolling Indiana terrain, this course balances approachable fairways with tighter, strategic back nine holes and facilities designed for a complete golf outing.
Course Overview
Eagle Glen Golf Club, located just outside Columbia City, Indiana, delivers an engaging 18-hole layout tailored to golfers searching for a mix of challenge and accessibility. This public course offers a balanced play experience with four tee boxes that accommodate a broad spectrum of skill levels, from beginners to more advanced players seeking a strategic test. The course weaves through gently rolling terrain accented by mature trees and natural Indiana landscapes, providing a quiet setting defined more by its character than by dramatic elevation changes.
Players will appreciate the variety embedded in Eagle Glen’s design, where wider fairways on the front nine invite confident tee shots, while the back nine narrows in, demanding precision and thoughtful club selection. The greens stand out for their speed and responsiveness, helping the course maintain a fresh appeal even for repeat rounds. Bunkers are positioned to challenge approach shots and draw penalty for errant balls, though some traps currently harbor weeds that may affect sand play.
The course’s condition is generally solid, especially the fairways and greens, reflecting concerted maintenance even if certain infrastructure, notably parts of the cart paths, show wear and could benefit from refurbishment. Golf carts are available, though many players favor walking to better appreciate the environment and stay engaged with evolving course dynamics.
Additional facilities support a full golf outing experience: a new driving range, a putting green, and a snack bar offer opportunities to warm up and refresh. The friendly staff adds to Eagle Glen’s welcoming atmosphere, encouraging a relaxed pace despite occasional congestion.
Those planning a visit should consider the afternoon as an ideal tee time to avoid the busiest periods and soak in midweek calm. Footwear with good traction is advisable if choosing to walk, especially in wetter conditions.
Eagle Glen Golf Club combines a practical layout and enjoyable terrain for golf enthusiasts willing to engage with its nuances. While some maintenance upgrades would enhance the experience, the course’s accessible challenge and solid conditioning make it a strong choice for players visiting the Columbia City area.
Course Highlights
Eagle Glen is recognized for its fast, receptive greens and a layout that shifts from open front nine fairways to tighter, more technical back nine holes. The course offers four tee boxes to challenge a range of golfers. While some bunkers require maintenance attention, the natural Indiana setting and varied routing create an inviting, strategic round. Its recent addition of a driving range and well-kept practice areas complete the experience.

Nice layout and challenging. But what’s with the cart paths that are in horrendous shape? Way too jarring than it should be with fragments of old path and potholes everywhere. Just very surprising for that course. If you have anything liquid in cart cup holders it will fly all over. Not the end of the world but 4 hours of out becomes annoying.

My True Rating would be a 4.5 out of five. Biggest compliment I have is the Greens. They are really fast at the moment! If you have a golf course with fast greens I’ll have more of a favorable bias towards your course! The negatives of it are some of the cart paths are pretty run down and a lot of the sand traps have a ton of weeds in them. These are issues that can easily be fixed so I’m not that bothered by it. It was just annoying on one hole I hit my ball in the bunker and I couldn’t find it for five minutes because it was underneath the weeds in the sand trap. Back nine is a lot harder than the front . Front is pretty open and some holes on the back are tight! They got a new driving range which is good they have now but it’s a little small! Overall this is a excellent course but needs a couple minor things fixed!

Haven’t played here in a while. Beautiful course, but I forgot they jam you up and ruin the pace.

I’ve been coming here since I started golfing but I hate to say terrible experience with the pro today due to being Father’s Day and busy. Do not EVER recommend going here anymore after hospitality treatment from the pro.
