The Château Élan Golf Club

Braselton, Georgia, USANortheast Georgia

The Château Élan Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course set within a renowned Georgia resort. Featuring rolling terrain, strategic water hazards, and seasonal vineyard views, the course caters to players seeking a balanced challenge amid refined surroundings.

Course Overview

The Château Élan Golf Club, located in Braselton, Georgia, presents a compelling blend of thoughtfully designed championship golf within a unique resort setting. This 18-hole course reveals a landscape shaped by gentle rolling hills and strategically positioned water hazards that challenge golfers while maintaining a smooth flow across each hole. Set amid the wider Château Élan resort, with its French-inspired winery and luxurious accommodations, the course invites players to experience a refined round that balances competitive elements with broad appeal.

Designed to accommodate a wide range of skill levels, the course’s layout demands thoughtful club selection rather than sheer power. Fairways are generous enough to encourage confidence off the tee, yet well-placed bunkers and undulating greens keep the scoring honest. Players will find several holes where water edges the landing zones or protects the green complexes, requiring precision and a steady approach game. The gently sloping terrain offers walkable stretches complemented by shaded groves, making the experience pleasing without overly taxing.

Beyond the course itself, the setting adds layers to the overall experience. The surrounding vineyards provide a scenic backdrop that changes with the seasons, offering bursts of color during the warmer months and a serene, open sky that stretches across the horizon. Playing here feels like an extension of the resort’s commitment to quality, with outstanding customer service and amenities close at hand.

The clubhouse serves as a welcoming hub before and after play, offering well-appointed dining options where players can reflect on their round or prepare for a tournament. Practice facilities, including a driving range and putting greens, allow for focused preparation.

Golfers planning a visit should prepare for variable winds that can subtly influence shot trajectories, especially on the mid- to back-nine holes. The course is best played during spring and fall for ideal turf conditions and comfortable temperatures. Whether targeting a competitive round or a leisurely outing, Château Élan Golf Club delivers a course that rewards accuracy and strategic thinking, all within a polished resort environment.

Course Highlights

The course showcases a clever use of water hazards and bunkering to create strategic decisions on tee shots and approaches. Signature holes weave through vineyard-lined fairways, while elevated greens demand careful distance control. Its integration with the adjacent winery and resort facilities offers a distinctive blend of sport and leisure.

Beautiful course. Greens were rough, though. For 150 dollars, expect to be in better shape.

Par 3 course has almost no yardages, no carts, no signs. Ridiculous! No clubhouse (closed).

If you like Golf this is a splendid stop. It took us about an hour and fifteen minutes north of Atlanta. This place is pretty special to us because this is where my husband proposed to me. It's a winery, a luxury hotel with a spa and it has its own golf course about a mile away. We visited both. In this review, I want to focus on The Chateau... Which is a french wine country-inspired chateau. In the summer, the vineyard is in full bloom and it was just beautiful. We got some magnificent photo opportunities! They have wine tasting, a wine tour and a nice restaurant where you can eat indoors or out or you can eat at the spiffy, luxury restaurants inside the hotel. I'm definitely a place to buy a good bottle of wine🍷. Parking is free and you can feel at ease to walk the grounds and take photos. There's a statue of a lady crushing grapes with her feet at the entrance. It's marvelous! Reminds me of I love lucy 😀. It really is a nice get away and a cool day trip.

Throughly enjoyed. They do a great job running golf tournaments for charity. I’ve played in one recently for Buford High athletics fundraiser, and volunteered at a charity early in the spring. They run their tournaments very well. The venue is great to host a tournament. Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Very reasonable and look forward to playing a round soon. I used to host a charity event for 10 years on various courses. Would defiantly recommend this one.

Dear [Golf Course Manager or Appropriate Contact Person], I am writing to share an experience my son and I had at your golf course on June 8th. We had paid for a round and were looking forward to playing. Unfortunately, after completing the first hole, my son sustained a neck injury that prevented him from continuing. Consequently, we had to return to the clubhouse immediately. Upon returning, I inquired about a refund at the pro shop. I was initially informed that refunds were not offered, and that only rain checks valid for ninety days were available. I explained that we live approximately four hours away, making it unlikely that we would be able to use a rain check in that timeframe. Following my request to speak with a manager, I was then told that a refund could be processed, though it was stated that this was outside of the normal procedure and might take several weeks to appear as a credit. During this interaction, there was no acknowledgment or concern expressed regarding my son's injury, nor was there a reassuring statement about the refund being processed. The overall interaction felt transactional rather than empathetic. Additionally, when I mentioned that the golf cart was being returned to the staging area in good condition, my statement was met with disbelief. The pro shop attendant followed me out to the parking lot to verify this. Given this experience, and the lack of consideration shown regarding my son's injury, we unfortunately will not be returning to your course in the future. She seems more like a salesperson that just lost her commission than a pro shop employee.
