Course Overview

Fields Ranch Golf Club, located in the vibrant heart of Frisco, Texas, offers two distinct 18-hole championship layouts, East and West, each embodying a modern approach to golf design amid the wide-open Texas plains. The courses challenge players with their strategic use of wind and elevation changes, creating a setting that rewards thoughtful shot-making and course management. On the East Course, golfers will find a gallery of multi-tiered greens and expansive bunkers that demand precise iron play, while the West Course offers a slightly more forgiving yet still engaging test with generous fairways and undulating putting surfaces.

Designed to accommodate a broad range of skill levels, Fields Ranch balances challenge with fairness. The East Course pushes low handicappers with its firm and fast greens that feature subtle breaks often missed at first glance. For less experienced players, tee placement allows for a manageable round without sacrificing the enjoyable rhythm of the game. The West Course’s more open layout invites players to experiment with risk-reward strategies under the vast Texas sky.

The open landscape surrounding the courses exposes golfers to the elements, particularly the gusts that frequently shape club selection and swing tempo. Wide fairways are punctuated by native grasses and sand bunkers that guard the greens with quiet tenacity, rewarding strategic positioning over brute force.

Facilities at Fields Ranch include a spacious practice area with multiple target greens, a lighted par-3 course perfect for honing short game skills even after sunset, and a well-appointed clubhouse that caters to both casual dining and private events. The club’s proximity to the Omni Frisco Hotel adds convenience for overnight guests or golf groups looking to extend their visit.

Walking is encouraged, giving players a chance to connect with the terrain, though carts are available and recommended during hotter months. Caddies are also on duty to assist with course navigation and green reading, enhancing the overall experience.

Fields Ranch Golf Club stands as a thoughtfully crafted destination for those seeking a fresh, challenging golf environment in North Texas, where natural elements and modern design collide to create an engaging round every time.

Horrible golf course with slowest pace of play. Looks like a former landfill. Hard to believe this dusty, windy, treeless course was selected to host Women’s PGA championship. You’re the PGA! DO BETTER!

Pretty surprised this place has only 4.2 stars on average. Nothing short of a 5 star experience in my recent trip. From the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly. Great, spacious practice facility with top tier range balls (can even choose chrome soft or pro v). East course is certainly challenging but also fair. Condition 10/10.

This was a great experience. The East course is a walk-only with caddies which enhances the experience. The course is challenging, but certainly playable for mid-handicappers and below. High handicappers will struggle, but could make it around. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape. Greens are firm, but roll true. Rough is thick, so watch your entries to make sure not to lose your ball. Our caddies were very nice, provided good tips for aiming points and green reads, were friendly and made the experience even better. My only negatives were the cost, which it is a premium experience, but $1000 for 2 players with caddies is a lot for a round that isn’t inclusive of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Merchandise in pro-shop was nice, but also on the higher price side given the brands they carry. And the pro-shop and marshal staff were professional but not welcoming and friendly. When a golfer splurges for an experience, you expect it to be memorable at all levels. The only thing that was truly memorable in a positive way from this round were the course conditions and our caddies. I likely won’t return, but am glad I played it before the PGA and LPGA events drive up the price further.

2 courses, East and West. East is a bit more challenging. Large putting complex and lighted par 3 course. Omni hotel on property as well as several dining, clothing and golf experiences. Great location for group event and destination golf experience. Wind was an added element which dramatically increased the challenge. Caddies are learning the course since it has been open less than 2 years.

Got the chance to play both the East and West courses. Absolutely amazing! East was amazing as we walked it with caddies, and it was one of my favorite rounds of all time. Josh was an AMAZING caddie, which simply added to the experience. Be sure to request him! It was a hard but fair layout. Greens, you do need the caddies. They roll true, but there are breaks you simply don't see! They were firm due to it being a newer course. West course was awesome as well. We rode carts for that side, though. Granted, it was CPO for the even numbered holes, so maybe we should have walked it. We're sure to play here again as it was an amazing experience, golf, to the staff, to the food! You gotta try out Fields Ranch!

We were day when it was too windy. Otherwise, we surely would enjoy more. It's definitely worth a visit and will want to re-visit with a better weather condition
